Bird Park KTV being raided last nite

Would like to share my experience during a 'mata' raid in a KTV.

Was at the KTV Fri (24/4) eve with my frens (4) having a good time there. Untill abt 10.45pm the raid began. Abt 20 'arm pie' walked into the joint, all lights on, each room was guarded with a man at the corridor, everyone stayed in the room, no toilet, not allow to go out for smoke, they were going thru each room to take statement. In our room, besides my frens, we had MM san and a PRC sitting with us. We waited almost 1 hr then 3 'unprofessional' mata walked in our room...below brief conversation..M= mata; C= customer, me lah (not criminal:mad:)

M: Can i have all your ICs or passport, please ?
C: Sure, before i give you my IC, can you identify yourselves ? (notice the one asking for IC was the most senior one but did not display his ID):D
M: Oh, we are from....routine check...Pls cooperate with us.
C: No problem. We are good citizen.

May be i demanded his ID, M not happy and brought me to the other room. I was a bit worry that they will beat me like what HK movies policemen do. Lucky, this is Sinkarpore! With my humble attitude, I was given the privileges of being interviewed by 2 officers in another room. (another M1 joined in, but he looks newbird)

M: What time have you been here ?
C: Can't remember...may be alcohol effect..
M: Agar what time ?
C: May be 6..or 7pm
M: Are you the first one to arrive ?
C: (I started to alert, paused for 3 seconds)..Mmmm..Yes.
M: How frequent you come here ? Do you drive ?

Just curious and would appreciate if some bro can enlighten me.

Since TS has shown his ID to prove he is not illegally here in Sin plus he has the rigths to visit the KTV which is a licensed joint and presumely he was not caught in any wrong acts. Now, can TS just walk away from there? I personally think he has all the rights.

Well, TS is a S'porean & our law says we can be anywhere we want at any time we want provide we're not doing any illegal & can justify being there. True that TS can leave & if held against his will, the other person can be charged with something like wrongful imprisonment but the AV people, no matter how unprofessional you feel they are (I personally think they act tough & will make things difficult for people sometimes by abusing their authority a little), have been instructed by the higher authorities (who sit in their offices only or already are sleeping in their beds at home) to conduct a raid.

A raid is something official, so if TS insist that he leaves before they can complete the investigation, with the reasonable amount of thoroughness & within a reasonable amount of time, he can be charged with obstruction of justice or hindering investigations. S'pore got a lot of laws that can make you go to court or be fined for almost anything, it is only a matter of whether they wish to use it against you.

Both good & bad in this way as we're all protected in case anything goes wrong but if the people administrating it gets personal, it can be very ugly.

I personally feel that certain people will get different treatment from the law because of their status in society or their wealth. So if TS happens to be a high flyer, if AV made things difficult for him, an email or a few phone calls will have the AV team conducting the raid in hot soup. Some might get a scolding, some might even get suspension or something just to appease the VIP.

Any AV people out there, no need act bossy with us S'poreans. Your NRIC card is pink so are ours. We serve our country (unwillingly or not) by wearing green too you know? Be professional, do your job promptly & competently & everybody leaves happy.

I personally had 1 experience with the AV & I just do not understand why they would think we are ignorant of the law & act tough to intimidate us into a confession that the girls have proposed special services. Shouting at drunk / intoxicated people with the bright lights turn on is not very conducive in any situation. The best part is that the team leader is a woman!!! OMG, calling us bros & saying we BETTER cooperate. Come on, you are not my sister so please don't call me bro. It is a privilege & comes with heavy responsibility. Not everybody can be my bro.

Sorry for the ranting. In short, verify their identity, cooperate & you will be on your way. If they try anything funny, send feedback aka complain. The objective are the girls, not cheongsters.

turn in on discreetly and record everything
and try to answer all their questioning
you will never know when the recording will cum in handy
as evidence against rude, unreasonable behaviour such as police brutality

TS cannot su-ka su-ka walk away...cos an operation is currently being conducted...and he has to assist investigation during the operation...if not he will be chargable for obstructing operation...

During ALL raids...Sillyporean and Sillypore PRs guys/gers whom go there to enjoy normally dun have any trouble during anti vice raids one....HOWEVER, if during the raids, they suspect that those Sillyporean and PRs are having drugs consumption...they have the right to detain them for further investigation....Apart from that...no issue one la....

So many bros experience raiding before...some even step out to say those MMs are their gfs which some really are also no issue..
