Not that the Chinese FL cant converse well, in fact most cannot converse in English. Entertaining non-Chinese customers often end in misunderstanding and unpleasant consequence. Moreover, Indians are very good at bargaining, this is a compliment but in this field, it is considered very annoying to the FL's. They like generous customers and not those who harga over a few dollars and cents.

Erm...not to burst the budding racists' bubbles here but I personally know of FLs who break their own "rules" and choose Malay/Indian customers.

One local and popular FL here who I got to know well told me that her FL friends and her put the disclaimer there is because some chinese guys don't like FLs who've been with other races, weirdly enough, these are the same guys that go for thais and indons as well. Another reason is to not get "foreign" clientele, meaning as long as you're Singaporean and speak English (and have the right amount in your wallet), you're in.
