Getting zapped and upped is part and parcel of being a story writer. Don't be so angry. If your story is good, your points will be higher than what those people can zap. Example, I can up you 6 points or down you 3 points. So if I up you 6 points, you will need 2 person of my points to down you. Even then, you are back to square 1 only. Talking about luck, I was really, really lucky on this business trip. Besides the two scores, on my return trip, I was told the economy class was full and that I was upgraded to business.

A big “thank you” to all brother who encouraged me to continue my story. The other encounter happened 2 years ago with a Taiwanese babe. So, don’t flame me or zap me here because my thread was originally for Japanese babes. I reckon brothers here will find it more convenient here.

Pinky is from one of my suppliers from Taiwan. She came over to Singapore for an exhibition at Suntec City and to meet up with customers here. I have been communicating with here very regularly, but we have never met. I was outstation the day of her arrival, so I arranged to meet up with her at her exhibition booth.

I went early, right when the exhibition opens, when the crowd has not arrive. At the booth, Pinky sort of recognised me almost immediately as I approached. “T! Nice to meet you.”

I looked at her. She is petite, maybe 160 cm or shorter, even with her 3-inch heels. Pretty but not a head turner. However, she has a very proportionate figure despite her size.

We started talking business. Feedback about her products that our company use, and later more personal matters. Surprisingly, I found that we had many common interests. However, the crowd is now building up and not wanting to disrupt her work, and trying to be a good host, before I left, I asked her if this is her first time in SIngapore and if she would like me to show her around. She gladly accepted my offer and I told her I would return in the evening.

Later in the evening, I took her to Lau Pa Sat for satay and some local fare by the road side. This is something new to her, quite unlike the night markets they have in Taipei. As we talked over dinner, the topic drifted over to the clubbing scene in SIngapore. I told her about Clark Quay, Boat Quay and St James. She was very interested, but said she did not bring her clubbing gear along, because her impression of Singapore was that This is a very dull place. I told her it’s OK, why not we go to Clark Quay after dinner?

We went pub hopping along Clark Quay and Boat Quay, and had a stroll along the river up to the Esplanade. Because she has been standing at the booth the whole day already and will be doing the same the next 2 days, I suggested she retire early. I promised I’ll bring her to St. James before her return to Taipei. She was very happy and thanked me for an enjoyable evening. She even told me that the distributor of their products in Singapore has also offered to show her around but she declined. She felt that she cannot click with them and was glad to have come with me instead. Uneventful first meeting.

On the final day of the exhibition, I called to see if she needs help as I saw she had some heavy stuff at her booth and she was the only person here. She asked me if I can go earlier. When I arrived, she looked a bit nervous and told me there was somebody trying to ask her out. This guy has come over to the booth a few times asking if she would like to go out for a drink with him.

While we were talking, she suddenly said, “T, don’t look back, he’s behind you.”
“OK, OK, he’s gone now. Thanks to you. He did not stop by when he saw you with me.”
“This guy has been coming over and again to try to chat me up. He asked me if I am here alone, but I told him I had a colleague with me. Thank god you came to my rescue.”

I ended up helping at her booth as I know her products and stayed with her until the end of the show and helping her packing her stuff at the booth. After handing her stuff over to the logistics people, I asked her if she still wanted to go St James.

“Of course, T, after all this hard work, now is the time to relax!”
“You have been a great help. I’ll buy dinner tonight.”
I was a great help because I speak both English and Mandarin. I will not be humble here, but my Mandarin is good. By good, I mean, when I speak, I can speak pure Mandarin, without any mix of English or Malay or local dialects. And when I switch to English, it’s not Singlish. I would say she was pretty much impressed.

After dinner she wanted return to her hotel to have a quick shower and change of cloths before we proceed with the program for the night. I waited at the hotel lobby.

“Let’s go, T, I am ready.”
When I see her, my jaws dropped. She’s just pure glam, and sexy.
Although it’s just a simple tight fitting little black dress, with a short hem line, I guess it’s the accessories she wore. She is really good at dressing up. Plus the extra make-up.
Point to note is that I suspect she has ditched her bra, but she still has a good size bust. I also noticed no panty lines. Little brother stiffen already.
“Hey, Pinky, you’re simply stunning! I thought you said you did not bring your clubbing gear?”
“Well, I went to the (Suntec) mall yesterday, to try to improvise something. Guess you like this? You should come to Taipei, I have better stuff. Everybody tries to show off their best in Taipei.””
“All the guys will kill me tonight, I am really flattered!”
“I’m your girl tonight.” She smiled and latched onto my arms, leaning onto me. And then she whispered, "I'm all yours."

We were early, arriving St James at around 10 pm. The crowd is not that big yet, and we started checking out the place. St James is quite different from any place she finds in Taipei and Pinky was quite excited. As we moved around, we were wither holding hands or me having my arms around her waist or shoulder, as a couple would, but Pinky takes this to be normal behavior.

We finally settled on Movida as she likes the music there. We ordered drinks and I found out that she is a good drinker. She keeps telling me to drink up.

“You’re not drinking, T, trying to knock me out or what?” She looks at me naughtily.
“I’m not a good drinker. Furthermore, I’m driving tonight. Gotta be safe and responsible you know.”
“Just kidding. I know you will take good care of me. You’re a gentleman, T.”
“Thank you.”
The music was quite loud. When we talk, we have to shout into each other’s ears. This gives me the opportunity to hug her close.
I know I was the envy of many guys there. They were eying Pinky. “What a lucky little bastard this guy must be.” This is probably what many of the guys are thinking.
Pinky was aware of the attention she was getting. When I asked her about this, she said,”This is normal. In Taipei, everybody likes the attention, if they can get it. Everybody will try to grab everybody’s attention.”

We started dancing. By 2 am, the crowd was really big now, and it became quite a squeeze at the dance floor. Pinky was enjoying herself and getting very high. She was gyrating and started rubbing her body against mine every so often. I confirmed that she did not have her bra on.

During the slow numbers, she would put her hands around my neck and my hands would go around her waist.
Little brother stiffens and she noticed.
“Sorry, Pinky, natural reaction from a normal guy.”
She just smiled and allowed things to continue, giving me a all-knowing look.

The toilets at the hotel lobby were all locked at this hour and I went to ask the hotel staff where I can find a toilet. Pinky was getting into a lift as she saw my predicament.

“T, come up with me. You can use the one in my room.”
“Not too good, Pinky. Not very convenient for you.”
“It’s OK, T. You’re a gentleman. I feel safe with you.”
So I followed her to her room.

In Japan, the girls are more shy. However as Brother Dreamguy123 says, somehow, they have a special spot for English-speaking guys. They may not show openly, as you mentioned, the Japanese society is still rather conservative. But it is definitely an advantage for us to be speaking English. We can pick up girls more easily than local Japanese speaking men.

These are my experiences in Japan and Taiwan, not in Singapore.

Which pubs and nightspots do you frequent in Japan? Perhaps in bigger cities, girls are more oblivious. I am normally in Tokyo. (In fact, just got in this morning).

I speak both Japanese and English but normally, i use japanese whilst in Japan (quarter japanese parentage). I get weird stares only because it is still not common to see a eurasian speaking in the local language. When i get that look-over, i simply shrug it off and mutter in japanese "Dont blame me, your language is too easy to pick up". Doesnt always work, but i could hardly care...

Things are better though in Taiwan (last been there in 2008 Spring). They have this fascination with asian men speaking in accents, mainly american. I remembered once ordering something in Shin Yeh, and the waitress asked me to tutor her in order to master the american accent! goodness...only in Asia!

My two cents' worth.

Not a frequent flyer on Japanese airlines but on SQ. Basically, a shirt and pants or jeans will suffice. A good option is wrinkle free soft cotton shirts and flat front pants/jeans.

Normally, i take the red-eye to Tokyo, so basically will be sleeping throughout. You get more luck on the longer haul sectors, more so in Business or First.
