Just wondering about this question when I saw the 9pm news on Channel U. A 33 year old property agent was charged for getting paid $1000 to take the rap for a traffic offence. She was found out and could face a few year of jail. Here's the link. It was reported that she agreed to the deal because of financial difficulty. I think it must have happened when the property market is cooling down. The 1-3% comm from a case should be quite a lot right?

$1000 is such a small amount if she agrees to be a FL. She's easily worth $150 per shot. $1000 in exchange for a few years of jail is so not worth it, she probably spent a few thousands engaging a lawyer to represent her. If you have a pretty, shapely friend like her who is in financial difficulty, will you ask her to consider being a FL?

If I have a friend who is like her, I would probably ask her to consider being a FL. Seems a lesser evil than jail time. What do you guys think? Anyone can find her photo?

I remembered watching a Taiwanese news last year. The technology these days is so good that they can clearly see your face when the speed camera flashes. In Taiwan, according to that news then, the camera is so clear that they can capture you and fine you for not wearing a seat belt or using the phone as you drive. The cameras are located on top of the lamppost, just as some of our lampposts have cameras on top in Singapore. Imagine what if...

I feel sad for her as her case is made an example to send a message to the rest of us. May not be light. Yes it is common to get others to take the rap. Especially when you are asked if you had committed any traffic offence when you renew your motor insurance (if you qualify for safe driver's discount).

Maybe because if she gets deducted another 12 points, she may lose her license? Imagine you are on 14 points and you run a red light, what will you do? Paying $1000 may seem a lot but retaking the test will cost more.

Told me that last time when she is very broke and no chance then go to become fl, who know, after take 3rd customer she strike 4D and won a big amount then all the debt settle and still got a lot of balance but hor, once into this line, difficult to quit leh cos easy money, then she continue become fl for next 3 year then just quit.
