I personally always go to hotel KTVs, aka Fortuna or hanoi hotel for girls.

I don't really mind paying more for the girls, since my objective is to FJ.

Yes that's the hotel. If you want to find it on Google maps, just search Hanoi hotel giang vo. It's the hotel right next to a lake/pond.

When I went for a massage the proper masseur asked me for 400k. But I gave her 300k. So I'm guessing for a HJ, it will be more. Perhaps even more if you manage to get her to take her top off.

As for the ktv, prices have increased. Drinks are still OK, but now girls cost USD40 to sit with you. And to go to room, it's USD250 for long time. But I feel girls selection lesser. Though I did get the contact of the PR girl behind the bar counter, when I go back next time I'll try to ask her out and bring her to another hotel.

It's pretty much the same bro. but nowadays no girls dancing on the dancing stage at the bar. I am guessing not enough girls willing to do it now. But then again i haven't seen dancing girls since 2013-2014.

There was a larger stage with many smaller booths and sofa seats facing the stage on the inside of the KTV, but they turned that whole area into KTV rooms now.

Now at Hanoi, thanks to some bros who have helped me to move on from my breakup. Can say that want to chiong these days not so easy, especially if no senior bros to help.

Halong surely eat seafoods and shellfish...depends on where you stay overnight in halong prices may differ...Halong City maybe tourists prices...if you stay in local halong places then prices will be local...:)

As for Ninh Binh, I had not been there becos after research decided not worth to go so far just to see plains of padi fields and waterfall...so no recommendation what to eat...:)

I stayed behind the US Embassy as a) it was cheap b) rooms are spacious and you can get a 2 bedroom so you can dedicate one to be a massage room c) it's off the main road and d) coffee shop right next door. Action is everywhere.

Top 1 KTV happens to be right next to it, so that figured into my reasoning too. Get drunk and don't have to travel far. Dabao is also close by. My suggestion is to stay away from Old Quarter unless you're there with a significant other. Traffic is not as convenient there and action there is a bit more jaded.

Most quote ST (one shot) at 1.5m and 3.5m LT (12-8), in room massage is quoted at 600k for 90m and that's a no extras type deal. Spas have their pricing laid out but general rule of thumb is entry fee = tip. Spas don't do full service. Again as in all such services, it really depends on your looks, your social skills and haggling skills. For WeChat girls, just know that as you go later, they are open to lower fees, the MO is like Cambodia. Always discount the photo they send by 50%. The lower they are able to go... the quality and looks lower as well and the age increases. The in-room massage will not be the picture they sent you, these guys take appointments for a plethora of spas located in the Old Quarter and send the girls out from there.

Most will say no because the establishment frowns on it. If the tip is paid at front desk, any tip above the regular will be spotted. If you want to arrange in room and bring your own cover, the only thing she has to think about is how to get rid of the evidence, or if you are willing to get rid of the evidence, then it's only a matter of negotiation in the room and giving her the tip in the room. If you've ever been to anywhere, case in point, I was just in Taiwan, what happens inside the room stays inside the room, it's a matter of attraction, foreplay and getting rid of evidence. None of them advertise it though. I did see that the 4m and above at some spas said full service. I didn't find out because it's not worth the price for me.

This is very true. Same for HCM as well. The OKT on the bikes are horrible. They will be around Old Quarters and Beer St, preying on the horny. They always show you a video of some party place with women dancing. Best way to get them to go away is to point to the group of women in front of you (there will always be some) and say your wife is there. You're better off heading to the clubs on your own and working your own game.

My personal experience for KTV in Hanoi is like this, if you are newbie, then just go to the hotel KTVs, and not any hotel KTV, but go to Hanoi Hotel KTV or Fortuna Hotel KTV.

I know can dabao, but i believe Fortuna rather you take a room in their hotel than to actually dabao out of the hotel.

Hanoi Hotel is better in this aspect, they don't care, you want to dabao or not up to you.

Mind you in Viet culture, young means <25 years old. usually by 24 if not married they consider old.

but you can still get pretty young, btw 25 to 30 yo girls at at Hanoi hotel.

Also their hotel rooms are also freshly renovated, so are very clean and nice, unlike in the past. I've never stayed in Fortuna and don't ever intend to.

As for outside KTVs, I've only ever had disappointments, unless you have some Hanoi viet friends bring you, i suggest you don't explore yourself.
My last experience from around 8 years ago, went with 2 friends to a KTV that was introduced by our taxi driver, first the girls are terrible looking, 2nd they don't speak a lick of english, 3rd they just open all the drinks and snacks and fruits, then they will charge you for everything that is opened, for 30min we were there, we paid >$200, literally nothing happened and we paid $200 for nothing. it was 1 experience too many.

maybe other experts here may have better advice for which outside KTVs to explore, but for me I will stick to my Hanoi Hotel.

i usually will have a few drinks first with the girl at least, to build up some chemistry, sometimes you don't know how she's like. I know it's ONS, but sometimes i like to have a bit of chemistry to have a good time. if she's like pushy or time watcher, then you also won't have fun. But I think it's possible to straight dabao.

Yeah renovated after covid, very nice rooms now. design wise feels the same, but everything is new, TV and all the things are new. (or at most 2-3 years old only.) Oddly, their prices are also lower compared to 10 years ago.
Oh and they have Toto washlet now, if you are into that kind of thing. I am, so that's my go to hotel now.

They have 2 "restaurants" now, technically 3, but the other one is more like a private dining place. The chinese restaurant is the breakfast restaurant, the food is alright, but pricey. I usually go to the "food centre" in the same hotel building, just opposite the (literal) fish tanks for food, mostly chinese style food, so suits me, price is also more reasonable.

forgot to add, if you are into massage, Hanoi got a spa, which has technically 2 places for massage, I usually just go to the "clean" side, which is for the foot massage. I will go sauna and hot bath and shower first, then go up for foot massage, you can ask the masseurs (who are dressed in black polo + pants) to massage your back, most of them can speak simple english.

then they also have the sexy girls massage, which you can choose from photo at the entrance, but they mostly only do HJ, nothing else. at least not for me. maybe more experienced folks will know more, but for me only HJ, so I don't really bother, since their massage very average, and I think the foot masseurs are better. so I just stick to them.

I find it's quite ok. You can reject them anyway. Don't give them your room number, when they arrive you can go down to meet them. But even if you give room number and they are ugly just say sorry, you don't look like your pictures, bye. As far as skills and service goes, its the same at KTV, you won't know till you bring back, and I find they end up being dead fish from the drinking.

Main hall i think no more, now only rooms and bar seats. I always go bar seats.

- The girl will keep opening beers and the snacks cost too. No room charge. (not the same for all but manager will explain) We don't normally drink beer so we always open a bottle.

Also, J spa hanoi. There's actually a few listings and if you look further down in the thread, I list one that's non-English/Mandarin speaking.

It won't be like Japan Street where they are all lined in one place and are standing outside asking you to come in. That's more like the alleyways around Beer St. But... once inside the quality is no good. The spas have at least a good standard.

Can bring bottle back if not finished. If staying with canned beer, it will definitely be cheaper. My wingman drinks and drinks and drinks.... haha. Good thing don't bring other wingmen... they all drink very fast.

In my experience, the managers seem to be above board. The pricing they gave actually came in lower than I expected. If you want the wechat contact, pm me. This one that seems ok speaks mandarin.

The girls sing. Also... if you don't sing I think best if some of you are humorous. The thing with these places even in SG, if you can't stir up the fun, then it will only be more boring. If you can stir it up and get the drinks and games going then it's easier for them to let loose. Also, nobody will care if you sing off key, it's the confidence you need. They might laugh at you but they will join in.

Also, play games, dice and cards they have. They even have tambourines etc. Get the girls to serenade you. You might not understand what they're singing but who cares. One of them surprisingly sang Journey to the West.... crazy right? But it was funny at the same time so I joined in.

These are all without negotiations. Tag on about $SG85 for the takeout fee. That's the rough economics of it. Manager never asked for tip. If this is once in a lifetime, you're not going back anyway... don't bother about the impression you're leaving. :D

My experience with LT.... never expect LT. :rolleyes: Even if you go out early, they will just leave early. Friend's birthday, son sick, mother sick... it's always something. Now if you are charming enough and humorous enough and not creepy, and present a possible future.... then they might be having breakfast with you at hotel and if that happens... then the question becomes what you gonna do? Unless you're back in less than 5 months, it's hard to keep things interesting.

From what I could tell, it's generally 2-2.5m dong for the spa experience. That's fully inclusive of all on the menu except for FJ. 1.5m ST and 3.5m LT. Seems quite standardized... don't feel like scam.
