unfortunately they don't operate in Hanoi, I am just wondering where to go for STD testing? I don't want those expensive foreign owned shops with foreign doctors charging 3m, 4m, 5m to some simple tests, 675k is the cost in HCMC for 13 tests, and I want something similar in Hanoi.

Transportation and food is really cheap. Usually just around sgd1-3 to grab around my hotel, I stay in Lotte Hanoi Hotel, highly recommended, good hotel with nice breakfast and just next to lotte mall, walking distance to Vincom mall. Food is really good and cheap, traffic is bad during rush hour. Old quarter is a nice place to explore.

KTV is at level 2 and not very visible. Rooms are quite limited and there is a room charge of 2m VND that can be offset by alcohol purchase above 5m VND. Could be a better choice to go for hard liquor instead of beer which is charged at 180k vnd per can (almost 3x other KTVs).

Went on a Tuesday and choices of ladies not fantastic; don’t expect the range of ladies as compared to Hcmc. Still some gems that can play but you need to be look out for them or get recommendations. Ladies have tags with colour on them; blue LT, yellow ST and red no-go. Prices are fixed by the KTV.

Overall, it’s a place for non-Vietnamese speaking bros. Locals don’t go here.

Many of the data only plan don't have local number, so do confirm with the SIM card salesperson.

For SMS credit top up I also advise to get them to help you do top up at point of purchase. Some telcos give problems when u try to top up with foreign credit cards.

Correction...all sim card including the data plan only have a phone associated but SMS and call may not turned on...so need the telco to turn on services...:)

More than a decade ago...I remembered I need to go Mobifone to help turn on if the sim card dun belongs to your name becos in the past all prepaid cards are mass registrered with names...so nee dto use passport to change...after reg to name can download apps and turned on any services DIY...:)

Now cannot buy pre-reg sim card...need passport to buy...:)
