You should have stuck around in the area.. The patrol comes every 4 hours. I know that cuz I was once doing the rounds there on the army truck. The police aren't too interested in your activities. If you head over to sembawang park, you'd realise that the patrol car turns on it's blinkers before entering the carpark to warn those who are rattling their cars.
Just a routine patrol to safeguard against terrorists cuz lots of westerners stay in that area.

Not a tip-off. It's a routine patrol. The army truck is from Sembawang Wharves and accompanies the police patrol as part of the security measures against terrorism (US Naval ships do dock in the Wharves).
The patrol goes through the area where the Colonial houses are and also through Sembawang Park and the private estate in the area (if you know where Buckaroos is).
I seriously wonder why they need us to place a MG outpost there though. Their (USN) own escort craft at the wharves already mount 20mm assault cannons.

the patrols there are not really for the sembawang wharves, but more for the eagle club. its a club where the AMERICANS in singapore gather, including their soldiers etc, and is highly protected.
u go that area on 4th july night, can see fireworks. they celebrate independence day within the club.

stay clear from sembawang park area if u want to fuck in cars. every one or two hours a police patrol will appear with an SAF vehicle with soldiers and gun mounted. this is part of their procedure to protect the ang mo area. be it 3am or 5am in the morning, they will appear when the timing is correect cos they go ONE big round and thru all the small roads. its being at least 2-3 years already and its a daily routine.
