Just FYI for those that rent a bike to run around in Phuket, do take care when you are riding. If you get in an accident, you will most likely always be at fault as you are a tourist. Bikes have no insurance so you will have to pay whomever you run into and on top of that pay for damages to the bike. Don't want something like this to ruin your holiday so take extra care when you ride.

Also just to add, try to get the Intl drivers permit before you arrive as there is always a police check point looking at all drivers licenses etc in the late afternoon -evening hrs on the road between Patong beach and Karon beach. Also another police stop going towards Phukettown from patong.

actually there is no need to convert to international one unless you are there long term. Asean countries not need to for tourist of asean. Just give them your passport, rental papers and your sg licenses, they will let you off most of the time.:D

Just came back from a solo vacation in Phuket yesterday. :D
Now I understand why other bros are addicted to the place. Haha.
Very relaxing, cheap booze, friendly people.

The only drawback is that there are too many ladyboys on Bangla Road, very difficult to find pretty real lady there. The ladyboys are prettier than the real lady. Maybe more experienced bros know other places?

Spent new year countdown with a pretty lady which turns out to be a ladyboy. Hahaha. But I had a good time at the bar since the bar ladies there are very friendly and there were 2 customers only. So we got to chat and play with the ladies there.

Luckily, after walking the whole bangla road for few rounds, I found a very nice and lovely bar lady and had a really good time with her. :D:D Spent 2 nights with her. :D

Warning for other bros,
The Russian bar is not worth going unless u are prepared to spend money there. The girls are okay (few hot ones), everytime they finished their pole dance, they will come and ask for tips from everyone, and you have to give them. They have private dance which is 3000baht for 10 minutes. Crazy.

Don't go into the agogo bar with the promoter showing you the way. They will ask for tips after that. Ignore or reject them and come back after that.

At Bangla Road opposite the PIZZA Company is a club on the 2nd and 3rd floor called Seduction. Entry is 300 baht and there are guys giving out cards for free entry before 12 am. Lotsa foreigners and can try pick up there... Met a group of Jap gals and me and my frens scored

Also at Bangla Road, I went to Devil's Playground, Exotica, Suzy Wong 1 and Suzy Wong 2. I find Suzy Wong 1 gals the best. Drinks and Lady Drinks are at 150Baht. Bar Fine to bring the gal out is 600 Baht. The chick that I ask for special quote me 2000 Baht but I believed that it's Negotiable.

PS: Remember to buy cigs from your own airport DFS as Phuket Airport doesnt seems to carry cigs.

Going to Phuket mid feb for 4 days. Catching up on this thread to find out the regular hunting spots. Thinking of getting a girl for long term 2-3 days and just drive around with her. I was back in Phuket for the second time from 13-16 Feb. I just miss the place. :p This time round, i stayed at Kellys hotel, which i find a big disappointment. It's so different from the website. :mad:

Location/Shopping: It's situated on a up-slope. No doubt it's near to Jung Ceylon and Bangla Road,which is about 10-15 minutes walk, it's not centralized. There is not much shopping to be done within the hotel. Can you imagine walking back to the hotel in the afternoon and having to conquer the up-slope ?

Hotel: The hotel is small with only a receptionist and the boss. Swimming pool is not big either. I went for a swim once and requested for a towel. The boss simply pass me one which looks more like a rag and had stains on it. In the water, i saw small particles flowing around. After 7pm, the office and bar will be closed and you won't see anyone around. It's like a deserted hotel. :eek:

Room: The room reminds me of those budget hotels in Batam. My room safe is not working and i had to use a key to lock it manually. Fridge is not plugged in and i had to DIY and clean up the water which flows out. Balcony door can't be fully closed and air-con is indeed 'air & con' !!! :mad:

On the first day, i decided to familiarize with the area after settling down. I got a name card from the boss and he told me: "If you are lost, just tell the motor taxi that 200bht back to the hotel. If you ask for the price, they will chop you". Luckily, i didn't followed the instruction or i would indeed be a carrot head. I only spend 40 bht from my hotel to the 'Christin Massage' area !!!

Lesson learnt: All you have to do is open your mouth and ask ! Thai people are not really so mercenary. Everything can be negotiated and if you still can't agree, move on to other shops or taxi drivers. There are plenty.

Back from Phuket after 4 days of fun.

Best places to pick up girls are Pink Club, Phuket town and Hollywood , Patong.
Pink Club price 4000BHT LT. We were 4 friend so we got 3700BHT. From one of the girls I heard that Thai customers are charged only 3000BHT.

my farang fren who already stayed here 20+ years had his atm card skimmed without his knowledge. when he draw money in patong, two groups of algerians behind him. one group on the left and the other on the right. when he draw his cash the group behind on the left distract him. the one's on the right draw his card and scan on to computer real fast and slot the card back. the group then disperses and you have your cash in hand and card still in the slot. you think nothing happened.
few day later cash already drawn from his card. he goes to bank and they see the ops on the cctv. seems that this already happened in pattaya and koh samui.
so be alert when you draw cash from atm esp in patong.

found a new place in phuket town similar to dutz. the girls are mainly from bangkok and the arrangements are similar to dutz. the place is called 'intro' and is located on phanga road near the royal phuket city hotel. the place was formerly the coyote, then bossy and now intro.

Still peak time despite heat. I guess only rainy season can make pukhet slow down a bit. Next hop after pukhet is Vientiane, laos and KL.
