This time round patong is conqure by Chinese, Korean.. bus load of them at patong.... GREAT HOTEL and now it is renovate 2 years ago. Visit C&N spa with your girl. Clean nice Spa with your own private jacuzzi and not too expensive. You have to book in advance if you going peak period. I could not get room during CNY even when I tried booking 1 mth in advance.

Another good guesthousel is White Patong on Soi sansabai but no lift !

Bars (Soi):

Quick note on food.

The restaurant attached to PS hotel is pretty good for simple Thai and Western food. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. PS hotel is very close to TaiPan Disco and soi Bangla.

Have been to the No. 6 restaurant on the hill while I was staying in a hotel steps away. It is economical compared to other place and food is generally tasty. Have not eaten at the No. 6 restaurant near soi Bangla, but it seems crowded all the time.

Savory restaurant at beach road is advertised in many tour brochure. I think this place is overrated.

There was a food court at basement level of Juncelyon Mall. The place is just so so, however price is higher than food courts in other place due to very high rent in Juncelyon.

C&N hotel have many different rates throughout the year. Most expensive period will be in nov dec january. cheapest would be in may and june. you can google "c&n hotel phuket" and visit their website for details.

Beer bar girls are always "tabao-able". Generally they make up their income from one night stands. Otherwise the earn almost nothing from just dancing on the pole.

The gentlemen's procedure to book them:
1) See a chio Bar Girl
2) Sit at the bar she is working at
3) Wink or give signal to selected girls if she wants some drinks
4) Order drink for you (100BHT) and order drink for her (200BHT, or called girls drink)
5) Play some games (you will lose most of the time, and have to spend more on girls drink)
6) Ask the Golden Question if she wants to stay with you overnight (rates at about 2000-3000BHT/night)
7) Pay bar fine (500BHT)
8) Note: some bar bosses would not allow to release her girl until 1AM+, so you have to lan lan wait lor!

Thailand ready to host ASEAN Health Ministers Meeting

BANGKOK, 23 June 2012 (NNT) – The Public Health Ministry has expressed its readiness to host this year’s ASEAN Health Ministerial Meeting, scheduled for early July.

Public Health Minister Wittaya Buranasiri said that Thailand will play host to all health ministers and officials from the Southeast Asian nations, who will descend on Phuket for the 11th ASEAN Health Ministers Meeting and related Meetings during July 2nd and 6th.

The title of the biennial regional meeting is “ASEAN Community 2015: Opportunities and Challenges to Health”.

Mr. Wittaya said that this year’s gathering will discuss measures to prevent any possible health problems, which could emerge from the establishment of the ASEAN Community and the closer alliance with China, Japan and South Korea, where a total of 2 billion populations or one-third of the global population now live.

Minister Wittaya added that the regional gathering in Thailand will also reemphasize all nations’ determination to come up with sustainable health solutions.

He added that there are 5 main topics of discussion in Phuket, including the prevention of non-communicable diseases, the reduction of tobacco and smoking, the establishment of a universal healthcare service, the control of HIV/AIDS and the preparation for future health emergencies.

Apart from health ministers and health officials from 13 related countries, nearly 200 noted academics from ASEAN nations have also confirmed to attend the 5-day meeting.

2 days is simply too short you should know. You can try Riko, I think they have bathtub with a higher charges. Or along the diving shop, there are some near "mini" hotels.

For proximity to bangla, you can try these hotels at soi sansabai: Patong hemingway, Acca, Wonderwhy, Apsara residence. The latter tend to be a little noisy in the evening. Price should be under 1000 baht in the low season and frightening hike during the peak ones.

dfusion, it's not like a different season after the 11th. Rainy season in Phuket is basically from May til November but that doesn't mean it will rain everyday for six months. For example the weather was great last week and it started raining about three or four days ago.

You have a 50:50 chance of rain or sun when you're here. James Bond island is on the Eastern side of Phuket so it is sheltered pretty much all year long so I don't think there will be a problem for you to go. But if it rains then it won't be much fun though. Can't be sure but that's just the way the rainy season is.

If you already made plans then I suggest just come and enjoy yourself. Rain or shine I think you'll still enjoy it.

In regards to the two Canadian sisters that died on Phi Phi Island, the initial report is food poisoning but circumstances are very dodgy and everyone believes the real reason is not food poisoning but the truth is being covered up. Autopsies were done on both sisters and the outcome was "inconclusive." The sister's father has been to Thailand and he also thinks the truth is not being told.

for those interested in fishing, i went on monday to ratcha noi and came back with nearly a hundred fish. the sea was like high season, calm and hardly any wind. got 3rd degree burns from staying in the sun too long.
last sunday the belgium community celebrated their national day at a belgium restaurant on rasada road opposite salvatores italian restaurant. there was one gourgess part time waitress there that deserves more visits there. she looks like half breed and is uni student. drinks were free after 11pm. sadly i had to leave early to sleep and catch the silkair flight early the next day.
might be going up again next month. sorry bro kit no time to have met up this trip.:o

So we walked around the famed Soi Bangla, it was pathetic. Farangs were drinking diet Coca-Colas. Plenty of police personnel to boot. It was encouraging to see the festival being respected and enforced, for my boy band...it was just bad luck. There were some bars that did serve alcohol, but concealed with plastic cups. There was literally no pole dancers swaggering the bartops. ok so u want a private pool all to urself...other than the obvious luxury feeling there are a few drawbacks to this. this kind of accomodations is called pool villa.

1) not going to be cheap did a quick search at least 250sgd up.

2) there are almost usually not in patong, which is really where u want to be.

If you only want pool access, no need private pool, you can check out The Kee resort, great location! Room rate is more than $100 now but during their high season, it's almost double the rate compare to what they are offering now.

The Kee Resort is in Patong and very close to Soi Bangla and club area, roughly 5 minute walk to soi Bangla.

There are actually quite a number of hotels with pool access rooms, such that the balcony is connected to the swimming pool. I don't like those rooms myself due to privacy concern.

just came back from phuket. Took the 150B minibus from airport to patong. It will stop at a shop to pester u to book hotel and tour but just say that you already booked ur hotel and to give the name of a hotel (maybe C&N hotel) and they will take u there.

stayed at white patong (thanks to bro dfusion for info) for the entire duration.
it's very near the walking street and at 500B/nite (now) for standard room
with free wifi and electronic safe, i thought it was quite a great deal.

there are many massage joints around offering massage from 200B/hr
but most of them quite mature-looking. I did one full-service for 1500B
after 1 hour of solid massage.

went some sightseeing during the day. it will be ideal to have 4-person so that can rent a car to go anywhere. Transport is really expensive there.

only went to taipan disco twice at nite but didn't manage to get any gals. wanted to try other disco but my buddy got sick. There is a bit of rain and "ponding" there.

Here is my report of my time in Patong, sorry I have to split up the post due to be moderated:

My friend and I arrived from Singapore in September after spending some time there. After enjoying our time in Singapore, it was a surprise that he didn't like Patong at all, to him he said it was too seedy and dirty.

We stayed at Yorkshire Inn in the Arncliff suite, I don't really recommend this hotel, for the price you don't get breakfast, and the bathroom is very average, with hot water being supplied by one of those separate water heating devices. The cost was 3500 baht per night plus VAT and a service charge. Next time I will have to give C&N a try instead.

Day 1- I've arrived to the scene from London at 18.00 and headed to my favorite crib.

I stay at Lamai guesthouse which is next to Simon Cabaret. the Place is a little far from Bangla but that's ok for me as i like quiet places.

the double room was priced 600 per night with PC internet TV and A/C. good deal i think.
I rent a motobike during my trips so i am free to go anywhere. very useful. they rent the bikes 150 BHT but as i am a returning customer, now th price is 100 BHT per day for me. value deal.

Expect 100BHT per day in gas as i like to enjoy the field and go to beaches.

took the 150 BHT mini bus to get to the hotel.

After dropping my stuff i took a rest and headed to bangla road to see if the place has changed. must recognize that the road was quite busy for low season.

Decided to check the bars in the differents soi and discos to check if the freebies/ working girls population had changed. Since my last trip in May 2011, i can say that overall 20% of the girls qre still the same. impressive !

I went to suzy wong and diablo as i am a customer who likes these go gos. few of them are still from last year and i would say that the quality has not improved, i miss the meat of last year ;)

Just to share. Was searching for a hotel for a coming trip. Came across this really chic hotel in patong with at a good price. However, wasnt sure if it was guest friendly so I emailed them. Just gotten back to me today but I have already booked my hotel! Anyway this chic hotel named Aspery is guest friendly! It got a roof top pool. Can check it out with agoda :)

Aspery look good but it was some distance to reach the famous Bangla st and Jocelyon Shopping Mall. It's a bit hard if you intend to bring girls back.

Bro, you can use Agoda.com to search the hotel and rates u want. The site even have google map for you to look at the locaton. Once you know the place and rates, go contact the hotel directly as the rate will be better than Agoda if you know how to bargain. ;)

I used LaDeBua last year. You can look up. And specify that you want a room away from main street and it will be noisy if you are one that want quiet time.:cool:

Bro, you should be able to book minibus at the airport. On the way out after arrival you will find the booth, just go up and tell anyone that you want to go Patong( or whatever location).

In Patong, you can find small tour booth that sell minibus back to Airport. ;)

Bike renting is easy to find. Mostly just along the side from the main street. Cost per day was 200B. Petrol can be bought in bottle costing around 40B.

Island tour was higher but you have to bargain. I took a big boat for 800B(usual is around 1300B). Small boat will be higher as it can travel nearer to the island inward.

Abit hard lar. Unless the lift is not near the front desk or security guard. Then u have a chance to sneak in your gal.

Bro, I think royal plam have joiner fees if I m not wrong as my friend stay there before, as the guard will be there at the main point so depend on ur luck, or LL just pay the joiner fees, sometimes they write down the girl name just in case there is a lost of thing in the night, u enjoy...
