Anyway, a small sum if u change 1000, u only lose out (23.92-23.74) X 1000 abt 180THB.

This is why even I stay in BKK, I dun go around looking for best rates. I always once a month change a few thousands SGD from UOB opp my apartment. I find it funny, some because of few hundreds or few bahts, go around the banks look for the best rates every days.... :confused: The effort n transportation is more costly.

Not really, i was in BKK for a short holiday only, Dragon land is still my play ground lah......hehe......

In fact, in Bkk i only enjoy the makan n shopping for skin n body care products. The skin n body products r really "good value" in BKK. With the current CNY offer we purchase many at less than 1/3 of price in Spore. Mainly from Watson n Boots.

We bought more than 25,000 baht worth of supplies......haha.... The only set back both these two stalls did not participate in the "VAT" refund thus no GST rebate. But still very worth buy to me.

The rate I mentioned was taken from their website morning rate quote on 4/02 and as day go on the rate will definite changed.
This is the bank website that I check for info and usually quite accurate when I went in to changed.

From my past experiences, it is hard to determine whether the rates for THB is better here in SG or over there in BKK especially these days when the currencies are not very stable and the fluctuations can be pretty significant in a short period of time ...

Sometimes it is better over here in SG ... At times, it is better over there in BKK ... I will recommend u to change some while here in SG before going over for ur initial expenses after u touch down in Thailand ... After that if u have used up ur THB and require more, please try to go to the UOB Bank over there to change as so far their exchage rates for SGD is the best ... The next best for me is often Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) ...

seriously, I really don't bother. One brother have made the calculations before, 23.5 or 23.85 really not much difference, unless one change in big amount. I only change SGD300-500 each time. Just for the fun of it since I would be there.
