SRich's rate maybe most competitive. Imho, how many of us got 1k big notes to change? Pardon me, I haven't even seen, least felt or touched 1k note but for smaller grey 50s. So I think the marginal rate is academic for most of us regular blokes. Not unless you a big spender, or got the means to:p

Imho, THB has been hovering circa 25+ for awhile. As for your window to rest of year, and unless you changing big bucks ...no point to hedge or sweat the diff.

As long as MAS core inflation is up then SGD will be stronger.
Currently Singapore is experiencing deflation.

Forecast for 2016 will improve.

Pusslicker (what a nick!:p), you don't have to sweat it on changing money in most places Bkk. Pratunam also has many money changing kiosks, and banks.

And there are some "mom and pop" stalls (not major banks like SCB, K Bank etc) which gives you better rates. Unless you got fat wallet with lots to unload, difference is marginal. :cool:

As a tourist, dun put too much effort thinking of where to change. Assume u are changing 1000 SGD and the rates different between walking distance and an hour + travel journey is 0.2, u will only lose out 200THB.

Let me give u an example, I know a few samsters who stay in Hway Kwang, took MRT and change to BTS to Chitlom, super rich. Have to pay for the both train fares and walked 10-15 mins under the hot sun to exchange money then another 10-15 mins back to the train station, just because of a few baht. :eek:

Huai Khwang junction area offers pretty decent rates. I changed a few times before using RMB. Now when in Thailand I'll pretend I am Ah Tiong from Shenzhen working at Foxconn as Line Leader. :D

Unless u are changing huge amounts like S$5k up , u could go to the Superrich main office to get better rates.

today both the Green and Orange Superrich office offering 25.65 for $1000 note.

Green Superrich was so crowded to the door whereas orange was less than 10 people. But both are offering same rate for all kind of notes.

Alot of singaporeans were in queue but i proceed to the Orange office and was out in just 10mins.

Other money changers in bangkok are offering ard 25.4 or lower. Unless u changing big amounts, then its pointless to travel so far to get 50-100baht difference. :p

Bang on, vbkk on common sense in changing money.

Generally, Sg rate (like Arcade) is competitive and better than Bkk's most places.
Unless you hit like:os of Superich, with big 1000 note (I have never been fortunate to see or have 1). Diff on commute, hassle not worth it. Unless you changing small fortune.

And plastic (credit card) rates suck big time, price for convenience. Avoid changing in airports too, seen Changi's rip off rates?
