Any brothers feel very shy and find it challenging to approach girls?

I have always been very envious of brothers that can talk to girls with no fear and effort. Although Im generally regarded as "outgoing" by my friends and peers, it was always challenging to just go up and know a girl on the street.

I tried listening and reading to many Pick Up Artist (PUA) techniques, but always back out at the last minute. So many times something like that happens… See the cute girl in Borders, decide to talk to her, wait a while, wait a while, wait until she leave already. Sian man.

So I start to analyze the problem and realize that i need more practise. Cuz my mind always blank out then im in front of the girl. Cannot remember what to say, what to do…

Although im married already, its still always been my dream to be able to walk up to ANYBODY, ANYWHERE,and within 5 mins build a relationship with the person, no matter its a guy or girl.

Im proposing to start a club, where we can gather once a week or fortnight, to practise social interaction skills. You can use these skills to know girls, or just be more confident in your daily social interactions.

Eh TS, take for example - You are a fisherman. Without fishing gears, how confident are you that you will be able to catch a fish. So likewise, no confidence you will not dare to walk up to the girl to chat her up. But maybe with a fishing rod, but without bait, then there might be some chances. With bait, it's 50%-50%. But I will not encourage you to try go pick up a guy if you are a guy. Likewise, I would not want a guy to walk up to me to be friends with me. You'll just scare me away. :D

The last time this kind of thing happened to me was 20 yrs ago....
I just passed out from BMT and was walking around in a shopping mall.
This white face guy turns up from no where and said he is my long lost friend.
I was searching my memory bank and before I know it, he was sticking to me like a leech.
My worst fear was confirmed when he proposed to go toilet for some "fun".

KNN....I freak out and run far far away.....every one in the mall was looking at me with a surprised look....:p

On another note, walking up to chit chat a gal in any location other than a pub/disco is quite risky. She might freak out and walk away.
Worst still, she might report to security guard......then u jia lut liao.

Glad to see some responses

This club really goes beyond just picking up chicks (or dicks). Although that can be a very strong motivating factor to join.

To me, the ability to just approach anyone, and be equipped with the skills to ensure that
1) you will not fear rejection
2) you know exactly what to say and do to befriend the person

is one of the most important skills anyone can ever have. In fact, its probably the only superpower you can have in real life.

Think about it. Is there any other ability that can serve you better? To be able to manipulate people. To sway them to your point of view. To MAKE them like you, respect you.

When you are in a business networking event, you can walk up to the most senior person, introduce yourself without fear, and in 5 mins, create such a connection that he/she feels he has known you for years.

When you see an angmo chick on Orchard Road you fancy, its already your second nature to say a friendly Hi!, charm her, and then even bed her?

That, my brothers, is real super power.

My point is, the techiques, skills and knowledge are already out there.

All we are lacking is the opportunity to practise these skills. No point reading and watching vids. No point learning from salesmen. No point trying and failing needlessly.

Perfect practise makes perfect.

Learn the correct techniques, do it so much until you become unconsciously competent, then go talk to anyone.

my opinion...Nice gals prefer decent guys (vice versa) and decent guys don't 'pick up' gals tat way. When u 'pick up' gals u appear no decent guys.

Everytime u spot someone u fancy not far away, be the quiet one in the group. If u r her type of guy, she'll notice u soon enuff-there u go, the decent guy being spotted :p
