Ever sinced 8th Nov CNA report on student FL acitivities, the AV raids has resumed and causing great discomfort to us regular Chiongster :mad:

Heard some raids at L and G areas on Wed 10-11 Nov and these raids are causing scare to the FL scene. Scan thru' Dome 2 but could not find much information on these raids. Read about FL very scared and doing rush bonk so as not to spend to much time in room. Starting to read some mention of missing FL, not sure poor gals up lorry already??
I am starting this thread so that Bros can share information on AV raids, help each other to keep vigilant on locations that got raided often, etc, etc.

Usually they will check the register first before moving up to the rooms.
Most of the time the staff will tell them which rooms are FL and which rooms are local couples so that they will quickly get their job done and leave the hotel. That is why for some rooms when slow response to open they will kick the door while for other rooms they let you take your time to open.

Bros, thanks for sharing information. Open information sharing will help us keep track of areas to avoid. It will also help to calm down the anxiety caused by ongong raids (fear is in the unknown). I started this thread after a FL I bonked told me about the raids in L and G area and she was very scared and distracted. I could not find much information and normal media do not provide much coverage except some articles that drives up the fear further.

I chiong at GL 19 (6 - 7 pm) and after finished walked up until GL 25A, everything was peaceful. Saw many FL along GL 21 upto Lor Bachok. Guess it must be safer after raid completed for the day and all the FL come out again.
As for me, I am avoiding my fav haunt L area until things cool down.

A few months ago, at the ground floor void deck of a private apartment in Geylang where Vietnamese FL and China FL girls used to wait; I saw 1 of those girls handcuffed and being put into a Police vehicle. 2 IDs is a new requirement set by the government for transit rooms. All hotels offering transit rooms must abide by this regulation. Some hotels will scan the ID of the gals while others will just take a quick look and let the gals in. Sometimes they may refuse entry if the gal is on a student or social visit pass.

For gals who go to hotels that require 2 IDs, it will be troublesome for them if their ID is scanned by the hotel. This is especially so if they are on student passes.

Anyway, I heard that there is a major operation going on over this weekend.

1 single person can but if they find a gal going to your room, you will be asked to go to the reception and they will check her ID and if they don't let her in, you will either have to ask her to leave and stay in the room yourself or waste the room charge that you have paid.

That was what I was told a few years back.

The AV will just check your ID, ask you a few questions and you can leave. They may also ask about your 'relationship' with the FL which is of course rather silly. They obviously know the answer but maybe just want to see what kind of stupid excuses you can come up with.

we the consumers should be alright as long as we cooperate with the AVs.
AVs Main aim is to catch the WLs & not us the cheongster. they wouldn't want to bring that many people back to the station.

so i do believe its still "safe" for us to cheong. but then again it could be a hassle when it comes to booking of rooms as sometimes we pay for the rooms, the WLs cant come to the room.

Not issue for the guys. The AV is only interested in the gals. They may call you up if they decide to charge the gal in court but normally it won't happen unless the gal is a repeat offender or has entered Singapore under a different name.

There are raids practically every week at different places recently. Like I said, it's safe for the guys but not for the gals...:D

Actually I dont like to drive to JB, just take the train to
Kranji MRT, there will be buses from there to the JB CIQ,
just follow the signages and crowd to City Square, there
are plenty of taxis there to take you to wherever you want
to go, but of course firstly, get some lobang from the
Malaysian thread and also a valid international passport.

It is not difficult after one try and it is cheaper there too,
no travel no gain.

He told us that based on his sources (I think he got friends who work in spf) that those who get caught outside legal houses will be asked to go for medical check up and must update spf within a certain period. If not, they will then send home letter to remind you to check.

According to my friend, this is for single men. Married men will have their spouses be informed to go for medical checkup and must also inform spf within a certain period. home letter will be sent if they did not go for checkup.

I heard it from a friend working in MOH, the top management got screwed by the rising cases so they are aiming SPF (AV) for action. I got the press release from from the MOH website.

I think the operation started around 4pm. I heard the police went into a couple of hotels along Balestier road and conducted spot check there.

If not, they will contact your spouse on the spot to ask her to go for checkup for her safety. For those who go and update them during the given period, if the test is negative, then they will not call your spouse.

By the way, I called up several of the budget hotels that I frequent and that still require only 1 ID and they all told me that their bosses are looking into implementing 2 IDs for check in. Seems that the government is clamping down very hard on budget hotels that offer transit rooms with only 1 ID and government regulations now require all budget hotels that have transit rooms to enforce the 2 ID system very strictly.

And the worst thing I heard is that for the 2 ID system, both IDs must be captured.

Bros, when registering in HC please make sure you fill in your I/c numbers correctly. Many of us, (me too previously) purposely fill in wrong i/C because the recep dont usually check. However should AV conduct spot checks and notice your i/c dont match the reg book you will problems.
