It's finally reopened. Merrylin Hotel Sauna in Pudong across from the Intercontinental Hotel (777 Zhangyang Road) is back in action.

Frankly, it's first-class all the way. Facilities as good as you will find as they are similar to Riverview and Heting.

A vast new WETLAND (or Water Mill in local lingo) area is well conceived and looks great. Similar in layout to the (now closed) Golden 18 in Puxi, these WET ROOMS are just the right size. They have the WET AREA with Elevated Table, Split Bottom Chair for Leather Cheerio cleaning and maintenance, and Wall Shower for a tag team soap fest.

DRY SIDE has a big square bed, massive ceiling mirrors, (no Red Rope Bar) in-room water cooler for Fire and Ice BBBJ, automated temperature controls, and brand new carpet.

I've been checking on this place for months. It made no sense what was causing the delay. But it went on forever. On several occasions I verified the extent of the renovation by going to the forth floor on the hotel and walking down the stairs. In short, the entire third floor was gutted and rebuilt from scratch. This place has no resemblance to its old "Yea Baby" Austin Powers feel. Perhaps the only thing that is in the same place is the hot tub, which is in fact in the same physical location. But it has been completely overhauled.

Best way to describe the newly renovated place is this: It's on-par with Heting. Definitely, it's that nice. The reception area is marbled and recessed from the elevator. Locker room is to the right and is classy. Shower area is totally new, has private stalls, and great shower equipment. The changing area is further back form the shower area and is rather large.

From here you move further back on the third floor (relative to the past layout which was semi-circle) to another counter.

At this point I noticed something that caught my eye (other that the smoking hot rawhide queen at the counter) : A large STAIRCASE to the left of the counter obviously ascending to the FORTH FLOOR. What the Fuck? I pivot left and start for the staircase, but the new Hammer Commander guides me right. To the FISHBOWL!

A NEW ONE! No more painting to slowly raise, but instead a very wide and modern FISHBOWL with platform and one-way glass.

Line up had about 10 girls that were all new. The uniforms caught my eye: Fishnet Tops! By the way, at this stage of the game I had no idea of a WET LAND set up. All I knew was that there was a new staircase left, and now, a whole bunch of girls in Fishnet Tops. To be sure, at that moment it occurred to me that I had only seen Fishnet in a line up in one other place, and it was a WETLAND. So, I had a hunch, and focused on TITS gouging up against the Fishnet.

There were 5 of the girls I would have done anytime. The others I disn't really examine that closely because NOW I WAS FOCUSING ON TITS AND FISHNET. In the hope that the Motherfuckin' Merrylin had been restored as a WETLAND.

First girl in the linkup form Hunan (sorry, got to hold onto this number) was spectacular. Perfect TITS in full view through the fishnet! It has a long hallway with banquet rooms to either side, terminating an a large banquet room that holds about 100 people. But to the rear of the banquet room corridor to the rear side of the hotel's forth floor, is the newest high-end WETLAND in town.

Since I described the WET AREA above, I won't go through that again.

As for service, hey, the girls are new. Don't expect Porn Stars just yet.

As for my girl, it was her first week on the job. The room we used was brand new and had not even been used before.

She said "I'm new at this, so you'll have to help me out a little". Fucking Yea! Call me Mr. Helper! I will fucking assist you lay out the plastic sheet on the table! I will guide you through the process should you falter! And I don't mind that not seeing any Nuru Gel. Get the FUCKING SOAP! It will be just fine! (Don't even know if Nuru is available. As with all newly opened venues, service will take time to improve. My experience was great because I hit it off with the girl and that makes up for skill deficiency. (Wish they were all deficient that way.)

I would say that if the place starts to get overrun with foreign mongers, then they might either charge a Tool Premium or find a way to cut down on the flow. Given their location, it's easy to imagine them being closed for "Renovation" on a regular basis if things get to out of hand with the massive hoards of foreigners parading to the area.

Only time will tell.

And one more thing: If you've got a Tool the size of a can of spray paint (I don't) , and your favourite movie is "A Man Called Horse" then get you some of those oversized Jimmy Hats and take them with you and ask for plenty of lube. In this way you won't scare the newbies to death, as many of them have a fear factor of foreign tools. I talked to my girl about this and she said that many of the girls had never done a laowai. So, might as well go slow, break them in, and not drive the fear factor through the roof.

Now, go forth and help develop the talent and break in this new place!

So finally get a chance to try Hotel Merrylin SPA in pudong. Overall I would say the experience is similar to Min Dian but Merrilyn SPA is probably nicer and more more modern rennovation plus I think the girls are a little bit better.

So arrived at Merrilyn. Had no problem finding the place and this is in a great location. I went straight up to the third floor and was ushered in to the showers. You know since this is a full service joint, I dont understand why they have so many guys in the restroom and showers. Important thing is to keep mentioning you want to GO TO THE POLICE. I got back a cash refund in the end. Went back and cancelled my card in case they may make any dubious transactions on my card.

Bro, sorry to hear your experience but you might wanna openly let fellow bros know where this place is. And as for what to do... negotiate and be firm (thou it can be hard in that circumstances). Do look through the previous pages and there was something mentioned on what to do.

Important Note: inform your card issuer immediately (quote the transaction ref number) and get a police report. You need this to do a chargeback which means you may not even have to pay a single cent (bcos issuer doesn't settle with the acquirer, therefore no need to pay). This is the beauty of credit card. US and EU tend to be more protective of card holders but asian banks often sucks at this.

It's finally reopened. Merrylin Hotel Sauna in Pudong across from the Intercontinental Hotel (777 Zhangyang Road) is back in action.

Frankly, it's first-class all the way. Facilities as good as you will find as they are similar to Riverview and Heting.

A vast new WETLAND (or Water Mill in local lingo) area is well conceived and looks great. Similar in layout to the (now closed) Golden 18 in Puxi, these WET ROOMS are just the right size. They have the WET AREA with Elevated Table, Split Bottom Chair for Leather Cheerio cleaning and maintenance, and Wall Shower for a tag team soap fest.

DRY SIDE has a big square bed, massive ceiling mirrors, (no Red Rope Bar) in-room water cooler for Fire and Ice BBBJ, automated temperature controls, and brand new carpet.

I've been checking on this place for months. It made no sense what was causing the delay. But it went on forever. On several occasions I verified the extent of the renovation by going to the forth floor on the hotel and walking down the stairs. In short, the entire third floor was gutted and rebuilt from scratch. This place has no resemblance to its old "Yea Baby" Austin Powers feel. Perhaps the only thing that is in the same place is the hot tub, which is in fact in the same physical location. But it has been completely overhauled.

Best way to describe the newly renovated place is this: It's on-par with Heting. Definitely, it's that nice. The reception area is marbled and recessed from the elevator. Locker room is to the right and is classy. Shower area is totally new, has private stalls, and great shower equipment. The changing area is further back form the shower area and is rather large.

Just realized this location is not far from my usual hotel. Very helpful FR. Will definitely visit.
