Anyone ever wonder who are the uncles sitting outside the UOB Bank in Geylang and the kopitiam next door?

Whenever I go to the bank also see them sitting around, chatting and observing people..

Gang related uncles or just uncles idling and chatting away? :confused:

Sometimes i think this older gentlemen are not locals, many are well off, this ppl not only at GL. PT brothels encounter many yrs allreally, few are cab drivers who go for a quick, cheap bonk.

1) Masterminds behind gangs / geylang houses / whatsoever
2) Lookouts for police as they are strategically located at the start of a one way street, though halfway through

It didn't occur to me that these uncles are like those uncles sitting at coffee shop, relaxing their time away.

Same liked what the talk show, last eve S Talking. A guess mention sitting at coffeeshop, suddenly ppl shouted, "mata lei! mata lei!". He said the ppl giving alarms were not only locals, other countries ppl too. Followed by drivers will run towards vehicles, put stickers or drive away.

The cultures my friends, this country culture, coffeshops everywhere same, ppl hanging around w/o reasons. Live with it.
