I shave the side and trim and pluck away those hairs on my shaft. Yes it is more hygienic and at the same time when my FB giving me a bbbj she dont need to stop half way to pluck out those hairs that got stuck in her month. I shaved it coz of cleanliness. The crotch is a focal point for heat, sweat, and bacteria. Cropping or removing your pubic hair makes that area much easier to keep clean, and more importantly, smelling clean and manly. She's more likely to explore that area up close if it's well maintained.

I think it only happens for the first or second time. There're actually things you can do to prevent it from itching. For instance, shave in the direction of hair growth for the first time. Then after a few times, you can try shaving against the direction of hair growth for a cleaner, smoother shave. And dry yourself by dabbing with a towel.

Indeed. I would have thought that trimming would be more common. Maybe it's because I choose to trim myself and leave a little hair, instead of waxing or shaving it all off. More convenient really, because waxing costs moeny, and I don't have an appropriate shaver for shaving down there. A normal shaver might just end up nicking me with cuts in my unskilled hands. So my next update into this poll.

Just heading for 6th IPL /waxing session. First wax was a bit painful, but all subsequent have been great. Combination of both has been great. I'm a reasonably hairy Caucasian and will need sol 10 sessions, but wife loves the impact, and I love it from hygiene point.

Blatant plug, Joyce and Irene at Wink Wax have been very professional, and deliver a great outcome. IPL session, followed by wax, leaving a really clean finish.

Still shaving armpits, but may upgrade to get them done too.

Have been shaving for about a decade now. Started off with trimming with scissor and then with a beard trimmers. Moved to shaving all of for a few months before getting to irritated with the ingrown hairs. Benefits was you could grow it back quickly if you needed too.

Boyzillain wax has been a god send. When places started offering the services I was the first inline. Initially keeping a small "turf" as I was afraid that it was too "gay" to keep it the pubic are bald. Many girls seem to think a waxed pubic area seems to be more attractive without the stubble from shaving. I took the plunge, kept it waxed for 2 years.

Moving forward, IPL has been more affordable recently, and finally put money down for a package of IPL treatment. After 6 month, my entire groin area from front to back and under arms are almost hairless. With a few more session to go I'm confident that all the hair would be gone by then. Even though IPL is only suppose to last 2 to 3 years. Its money well spent.

I travel a whole lot and manage to see the different trends of shaving and waxing in changing room and spas. Being hairless in europe is completely normal particular in summer. In Singapore, some people still stare at you at some freak show but the trend is getting more normal now. In Japan and China, expect people to give you a second look, for being completely hairless. People do give a second look at the sauna or bath house.

Maybe I'm an exhibitionist at heart but hopefully showing how nicely groom a hairless body is would spread the trend of body shaving.

Well 12 month on since I responded to this thread. Have completed 10 IPL Boyzillian & waxing sessions. Hair regrowth is seriously slowed down and gf likes the feeling.

For those with a lot of hair, the IPL didn't seem to do much till after treatment 6, then I think the hair started to "give up" and became less. Will now just touch up with waxing unless it come back too thick. Next trick will be underarms and back.... :eek:

Guys, dun go just for shaving coz the hairs that are growing after that will be very thick and rough.. U can try boy-hard- waxin.. Thy can done in strip too!!me personally has been doing it for years and i feel shiock.. When im clean, the guys will lick it real clean.. I love it..

Been totally clean shaven for a very long time, probably since teenage years. I think body hairs are very unsightly & unhygienic. Clean shaven are much more sexy too, for both men & women, & of course, BJ, FJ, etc. are much better when clean shaven.

I've never tried waxing though & I'm planning to go waxing these couple of days, so I've stopped shaving to get enough hair for waxing.

For those that waxed, can you maintain a bare look & feel in-between waxings? If we need hairs long enough for waxing, then most of the time, we will not be completely bare right? I hoped someone here can answer this question. I'm contemplating whether to go ahead depending on the answer to this question.

If $ is not a problem, I'll go for one of the laser treatment like IPL, etc. It's more permanent but according to research, it's only permanent to a degree.

Oh yes, also, electrolysis is permanent. For each follicle zapped, it will stopped growing hair if it is completely destroyed. But it's also expensive & time consuming coz you have to treat each single hair follicle! And hair follicles in their dormant phase can't be treated until they started growing hair. So it'll be a long, painful & expensive treatment.

Many times before sex, despite thoroughly shaven from entire front to back, I'll "touch up" shave again. I'll be super thorough for this coz I want my partner to feel that no matter how she touch, feel & rub my pubic region, it is 100% smooth like it has never had hair before. But this over-shaving can cause some irritation & soreness. I was wondering whether it increases the risk of contracting STDs. Sometimes when I had flu-like symptoms after visiting WLs, I wondered whether my very shaven pubic region had gotten me HIV despite me using condoms.

Can anyone comment on this?

That's why I'm contemplating waxing coz I guessed a day or 2 after waxing, the area should be back to normal but without any prickly hairs. So I can still enjoy silky smooth sex without worrying about infections from shaved skin.
