PR will not be revoked unless the husband make a case out of it with evidence....if not she can stay till PR expire....PR renewal....then that is the time she has to present her case if she wants PR ahaon.....kids will be husband custody.

Can anyone advice me if there is illegal and will the flat be confiscated if the ICA officers come to spot check? I have fallen out with my sis and will be looking to buy a 2nd hand flat this year. Fyi, the gal do not work any sideline and always stay home and we normally go out in the weekends.Do need advice which website can I turn to to prove that staying in the flat with a valid social pass is not illegal and will not affect on the confiscation of the flat.

As your girl is having valid pass and dont overstay...you dont break any law by letting stay there....to be on the safer side...the owner of the house must agree...

If u are really worry, then bring your girl and proceed to any police station and ask them on the spot...u may wish to cite the previous incident of ICA proceeding to ur house....still worried....then ask HDB....still worried then ask ICA....remember whoever u ask....remember their name...on the other hand...u may wish to ask them in writing...so that when they reply to u...it will also be in black and white

It does not matter as once she's a PR as she will be accorded the same protection under the Women's Charter & Constitution similar to a Singapore citizen.

The PR status will not be automatically revoked upon a divorce, regardless of whichever party is the petitioner. It may be revoked if she has committed some criminal offence (but again depending on the severity of the offence) or some other immigration offences (e.g. lying in her PR application...etc).

As such the divorce will be handled in the same way as a Singaporean couple, albiet thru the Family & Juvenile Court at Havelock Rd. Fighting for custody will always be dependant on how the Court deems "in the best interest of the child";), meaning how whom can provide best for the children both financially & emotionally.

If the man is working and the ex-wife PR is not than the man will stand a higher chance of "sole custody", if he wanted it, unless there is some misconduct on his part e.g. child abuse. Normally a joint custody will be awarded and the specific terms to be thrashed out (e.g. stay where, periods...etc).

Just trying to help a bit here:)

Most of the information required for the application are the norm and quite standard (e.g. education level, income...blah blah blah).

However there are also other intangible factors involved especially on the ICA officer handling your application as he will also need to assess your potential future earnings and contributions to the country. In fact most entrepreneurs will be viewed favourably even though they have failed before due to the push by the government for more entrepreneurs;), this was one of the reason why they also relaxed the Bankruptcy laws.

Another important factor is also the education level and current occupation of the spouse (as you did not state the PRC's details). There was a time which the ICA even sent out invitation letters to those foreigners with MBAs working in Singapore to apply for PRs, something like a membership drive:D

I had a friend who married a foreigner wife and applied PR the very next day after the ROM and get her PR approved within 3 months. Both are grads drawing decent salary with a respectable job. Friend had been contributing to CPF for years and just divorce prior to the ROM. Given all this factors, I guess many issues still played a part with the usual suspects, CPF contribution, educational level, duration of marriage etc. ;)

This I have no confirm answer but I think it should be the same as student pass? That will be 2 yrs....anyway since ICA ask for medical report then just go for checkup to save further trouble...

Medical report is valid for 2-years. Once time is up (2 years), yu will need
to go for Medical AGAIN.

Normally 3 months or more but after 3 months you may start calling to enquiry, I have heard cases within 2 months though.;)

When i applied for my wife PR, she has only been in Singapore for 1 month plus. She also no formal education. But during the whole application process, i feel that there's 2 main areas that ICA is concerned about:

(1) ICA asked me to produce passport proof that i have been travelling to Vietnam for the past few years. They want photocopy of all the entry and exit visas that i had for Vietnam. ICA also wanted to know if this is the first time my wife is in Singapore. Also need photocopy of her vietnamese passport.

(2) ICA asked me to produce my Income proof and income tax and CPF contribution proof for the past 2 years. They also want to see all my educational certificates and also wanted a employment history of myself.

My wife got her PR in around 3 1/2 mths. That was some years back.

Forget about the comment and focus on what you have for now. Such uncouth remarks will get his reprisal. I don’t understand why there are so many people having such hostile mentality against cross boundary relationships/marriages especially when it comes to partners from Thais, PRCs, Viets etc. From what I know, many have contacts with mainly WLs, FLs etc and not many really have to chance to live in their respective countries and learn their lifestyle, culture or even manage to speak their language and yet they can denounce people from these countries.

Moving on, you may see that many bros in the forum are sharing info based on the gals that they had physical contact with and not many are dealing with a serious relationship, not many are trying to develop a decent relationship as well, most are flings and one off transaction which some transcends to long distance relationships of cat & mouse chase and hide & seek game.

The point is that there are absolutely nothing wrong with having the other half from another country, but I do urge fellow folks who want to comment or even condemn do reconsider what you know about the scenario before even uttering even a single word. And do not ever classified every single girl from those countries as money sucking, easy woman whose main priority as fleecing your life saving.
