But u work out what is the problem? Going thru the divorce process is a very painful matter to pulloff. You will fell you are a total failure and you lose confidence in yourself. Many people cannot recover from there and the scar will forever be there. Worse still, some people around you will be sacarstic or mock at you.

However once everything settled then is ok. A lesson to those bros who are still single and itchy to get married for marriage sake. Stay single, be happy.

Adultery is not illegal in Singapore. So, since this is the case, the Adulter/ress has not committed an offence. The Law here protects the Children and Mother is the by defacto custodian. Unless the complainant can prove that the mother has no or little mean and time to commit and educate the child and well-being of the child, generally, the father's gonna lose the case and even need to pay alimony.

If you are very rich and she is going to walk away with a huge fortune, it is stupid to save $$$ and hire a cheapo one where a expensive good divorce lawyer can save you hundreds of thousands in alimony and divorce payments to the money grubbing ex-wife!
I have a friend who was ngeow and tried to save pennies and got himself a shit lawyer - almost ended up with a really screwed up verdict cos the lawyer was screwed up, and upon some of the friend's advice; then he woke up and actually looked for a good lawyer, paid 4 times more in legal fees and ended up saving millions!
From what I gather here's some of the best (to my knowledge as I have quite a few divorced friends including myself) -

Don't have to waste your money now. The family courts has revamped the divorce proceedings and now it is easy to DIY if you have some education and can understand English. Both of you must attend mediation before they allow you to file for divorce and the mediator will walk you through the procedures involved. You can save lots of $$$ in terms of legal fees so don't be fooled by the lawyers' bullshit otherwise. :)
