SINGAPORE: Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean said Singapore must continue to have the pioneering spirit in seizing new opportunities if it wants to be a leading global city.
Mr Teo said this is also needed for Singapore to be a place with exciting opportunities and good jobs for Singaporeans.
He said this as Economic Development Board scholarships were presented to eight students on Monday.
Mr Teo urged the scholars to maximise their chances to broaden their horizons, drive change, gain international exposure and develop as leaders.
