According to them, this place that is located at Balestier point and is basically a hang flowers joint with ktv rooms and lots of vietnamese ladies.
My friends also tell me that the singers there are pretty and the vietnamese girls there can play.
Best of all, the pricing there is not too expensive and I heard they got events for tonight and tomorrow.
Any bros have been there before?

I have done some research and found out that this Grand Shanghai is the ex famous Century KTV and the mummy is also the same. For those bros who are old timer cheongsters should know that place is super fun and daring. :D So I think now can't be that bad also.

i went there at around 10 plus before, so i'm not sure whether there is any happy or non happy hour or not.

below are the points to take note:

deco:

good: Yes, da shanghai is very nicely done up in the main hall area. i think even the sofas and tables belong to the expensive side. u can really see the owners dump money into this joint.

toilet:

bad: actually, its not bad, but the joint inside does not have toilet. u have to walk quite a distance to the shopping centre public toilet.

singing girls:

to each of his own: the PRC singers are subjective. however, to my standard, they are not worth the investment.

rooms: 1 bottle of martell is around $368-$388. i think 1 tower is $110 or $120. sorry but i went a couple of months ago, so the pricing i forgot a bit. but that night i went, i order 2 bottle martell and 1 tower beer, bill comes to around $760.

Girls: this is a mummy system. but a faq-up system. the mummy only comes in 2 times. 1st, is the intro of girls, and second is the bill time. cos she wants to collect tips. i tipped the mumy $30

girl-wise, it is also a hit and miss. cos the viet girls there are mostly student pass or tourist pass. the nices girls that were there last month might not be here this month. if lucky, u encounter the hard core very daring type, good. but when i go there last time, we encounter 1 super daring, 1 daring, 2 normal, and 1 everything-also-cannot. (5 buddies went) girls there are standard $50 or more. but all i tipped $50

I was finally there and surprise that a jug of beer cost only $30. :D
I ordered 4 jugs and the total cost was $120 nett and no further extra costs which I am surprise as there are nuts, fruits etc, maybe cause I know someone there. :D Not sure if it is happy hours pricing though. There are many viets around and tipping is $50.
I did not open a room as I prefer to sit in the main hall to listen to the singers.
Overall, I am satisfied with my first virgin visit there.
So this is another chionging option for bros.

The damage of hanging flower varies. I think range from $30 upwards to no limit.
I also first time there so not that familiar with that place.
But I think the singers there are quite outgoing and fun to be with.
So I think the main hall can be a good place to hang out with.

I have been to many KTVs and LSB in the past and there are always many "unknown" girls who will come over at the last minute to collect tips etc.
But I don't see such issues at this joint. The captains here are not pushy which I like.

Is this KTV at balestiar point somewhere opposite loykee chicken rice? If yes then I went there twice, price is cheaper than places like Verge but selection of viet girls not as much. Some of the viet girls can really climb on top of you once in the room. The last trip there mummy told me she have a vietnamese virgin girl who can accompany customer 3 days for i think 10 or 15K i cannt rem. i saw the girl quite pretty but doubt she is really virgin.

Yah agree, i also enjoy more in this ktv joint more than at Verge, and amount i spend is much much lower.

I think Verge is overpriced and not much privacy since the area is too huge.
Grand Shanghai is just nice with privacy and girls are great and really fun. :)

For bros who like fishing for singers, can try the open hall which the price is so much lower. Open hall can also ask the Viets to sit with you if you wanted. :)
