Heard that the Gong An can hold the offender until his wife bail him out. Intention is to shame him and no exception for foreigner. So if a S'porean got caught, his wife gotta fly to whichever chinese city to get her hubby's release.

if not, as a foreigner, u will be jailed for like 1 week and fined rmb50000.

to prevent this, u need to stay in a high class hotel as the gong an keep away from these places.

Bro, not so easy to bribe lah...in China, only with "guanxi" then these bunch of Gongan will dare to take your money. If not, only fine, no imprisonment.
Worst case is that they barred you from entering the country.

5 stars Hotel are safer but not the safest as these gongan sometimes follow the " Prostitute" into your room and they would not care if the hotel is 5 star or 10 star....

My suggestion:
1) When you cheong in China and pick up any gals from KTV etc, do not take Taxi queing outside the buiding, these taxi drivers sometimes work for these gongan...walk a distance and hail a taxi...and do not talk too much in the taxi....it is a differnt world unlike singapore.....

2) The best place to bonk the gal is not a Hotel, if you are living and working in China, the best place would be your apartment or your friend's apartment. Hotel is a taboo....

3) If you happens to pick up gals from the street, make sure that nobody is following your car or taxi.....many instances the gongan will drive unmarked car and trail you to your place......

4) Try not to pick up gals during "Yan Da" period whereby the Chinese gongan will be all out on operation.....this information can be herad from taxi drivers or friends in China...they will know when the "Yan da" time will be.....

If you can bride the gong an, its ok but if he would to bite back(maybe he feel not enough) - that's another case.

Well in actual fact, bribing is not like shown on TV in SG lahz..

Everything have to be done tactically... and even tastefully...

I have heard that even those immigration officer earns more than a senior bank manager in Singapore.. So you think they would care for your money?

Even if there is a chance for bribe, you must also have the channel to bribe them..

Anyway... Cheong safely lahz.. Go for renowned places where the KTV/ Sauna owners have already paid the "protection" money... Streetwalkers are the most dangerous as they dont have the "backings". Worst if the streetwalkers rob u at your hotel or home.

This is quite true as who knows when your wife will surprise you by paying you a visit. I use to have a few gf in china while I was working there so when I know my OC coming, i changed apartment and phone number....and when OC is there, I refused to go out shopping with her as I was afraid to bump into familiar faces...kekeke....

Bro, the risk is still there. I still think that the best place is to actually hook a gal off some local disco/pub...and then bring to your place but be sure to watch your back.......

One more thing I forgot to mentioned, dun ever leave down ur biz card or phone number to the "pros" as when she is caught the gongan will sometimes force her to call her clients up to set up an arrest......( on the spot)

Thanks bro, anyway there are thousands and one's rules in China.
Just dont be complacent. I used to be very complacent and end up "Wai Guan Ju" ( foreigners control department) people come and look for my chinese partners who is the legal person for our company. Luckily his backing is strong according to the wai guan ju officer because if not they would have gone up to my apartment and raid.

I thought that I have been very discreet with my action but according to him, some people had submit these info to them and advise me to watch out for taxi drivers, neighbours and KTV waitress etc......

The law in China states that no gal can spend the night together with a guy unless they are married. However these law does not apply if both parties are foreigners.
