Unless the money is spent on a private deal instead of hanging flowers, I think you may have heard the figure wrongly. The single biggest "flower" was for Meiyue's departure show amounting $120,908 (12-09-08 was her birthday as well as her last performance). Her total "flower" revenue for the 2 weeks up till her show is around $180k, including the show night's $150k. The second spot went to Lulu who trailed behind Meiyue by $30k to $40k, followed by Xiao Jun's $130k.

Meiyue's patron (most of those regulars of DC will know who he is) has been "hanging" $50k to $80k per month on her, making her the top earner each month.

I guess that really depends on where one lies in the hierachy of social standings. I used to think like you. When one is poor, he has nothing to brag about and no one to brag to. Survivor is his main concern. As his wealth and social standing rises the restrictions start to crawl in. He start to have more disposable income to feed his hobbies . When his status continue to rise higher he wont be able to enjoy all those things he used to do previously. To avoid scrutiny from extended family members or peers he now has to be very discreet in his dealings. Easiest way to achieve that is to pay up for the services. So here I disagree with you. EGO becomes the real game when one reaches a high social status.

They can dine at the same restaurant 7 days a wk. The game is simple. A arranged the dinner on Tuesday and gave 100 tips for a 500 dinner.. I am only but a small-time regular at DC for some time now but I do know a lot of the staff there, including many of the singers except those high and mighty ones who makes probably 5-10 times my salary.

I have not visited the clubs at level 3 and 4 but will probably go look-see look-see in the next 2 weeks. From feedbacks I received, can probably give them both a miss.

Possible coz the feedbacks I got were from the DC staff as well as a group of frens who just took a furtive glance at the quality of gals there. Therefore, there may be some bias opinion there.

See, I got no social status. I realise my limitations and don't want to get myself into trouble over a useless thing like ego. I say "useless" because to people like me, no money and no social status, other things must take priority. I cannot afford to have lofty ambitions like getting a singer to sleep with me despite my fugly looks and lack of spending power, just to prove that I can make it. I can only afford to have small goals like shooting my soldiers into a willing woman's mouth or pussy for small sums of money.

We all still young and poor, some things like "ego game" we cannot afford to play. Was at JS yesterday nite to see Bro Aicheongmai's gal performance and also some catching up with the Bros after a few weeks break. :) Saw many new faces (singers), sat with one singer from 'qing dao' just reached sing only a few hours, young and very fresh but she can sing quite well.

There's nothing wrong with enjoying something you like. It is only wrong if it comes at the expense of taking care of the people who should matter to you more. To quote an extreme example: if my mother needs money to buy toilet paper, groceries, pay PUB, etc and I got $100 to spare... should I go and kio kway instead? If I tell my mother "this month cannot give you money, I got to pay my yearly insurance premium", still never mind. If I tell her "this month no money, I need to go HFJ and show support, and last month my friend hang my singer $500 now I got to return favour"... then I really kiam gan.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to realise one's own limitations. You can aspire to overcome them, you can aspire to work around them or expand them, but in the first place you must always have the awareness of what those limitations are.

I did mentioned that the figure I quoted is made by Dynasty's singers but not singers in general. Otherwise, every PRC gals coming to Singapore will wanna be a singer instead.

That's why, singers are the worst of the lot in my view la.
And also, sadly, the most pressured of the lot.
Sometimes you also see singers with damn weak flowers but they like still around after so long and by reading on what u can see the amount of flowers they're getting almost everyday, how come the company never throw her back? And there's no way they can top up the missing $$$$ every month based on their 70/30 or 60/40 split wif their company based on the min required target.
This will lead you to think...moonlighting???

People who spend extreme sums on singers?
Yes got such people. But a minority.
It is foolish and if they ever lose their wealth, then they may look back and regret.

It is a big cast of characters in HFJ.
There are also persons who permanently live off their group of friends who patronise HFJ. All the different KTV HFJ managers, all the singers, all the waitresses/waiters know about these persons.

And something really strange. The person/s would insist that the waitress/waiter record that the liquors-whisky/brandy/wine were bought in his/their name, even though all of the time, another friend paid the bill. I guess it is a surreal kind of psychological substitution to mend a broken ego.

Oh perhaps on another day, they scoot back alone or with other group to consume all of the liquor.

This happens in real life. Weird but interesting.

Bro, as I said u had done too much for her liao. U have a very weak heart laio don't know how to reject people. Just like u everytime u go TH sure take many gals and most of them are those 老相好 that u cannot reject so like visiting old folk home and no chance to take "fresh meats".

Not no commitment lah. Recently took a 19 year old young singer every time sit with her still need to hang the min ($50) for her "意思意思" loh. But definitely not like u must prepare $200-$300 for every trip to JS for your regular gal. Next month her show is coming liao but no mood to do anything for her.

By the way how was the 3rd session stock at TH last night. The 2nd session was not bad a lot of young new faces and the rooms and the business was quite bad with almost 60% empty. There will sure be some conflicts or differences in styles when dealing with human being and we should always have an open mind for criticism. There is nothing to be afraid of or to blow it up as if it is a big problem.

Even in this forum people don't know each others but still raise points and issues against others. Even if you are Robinson living in no-man's land with your dog, we will still throw stone at your best and only friend Mr Dog when you are moody and the dog will also bark back at you. SO what is the problem???

We meet, we make friend, we criticism each other and we till now still meet again and cheong together. There is no need for any outsider to worry for us or for any similiar group. People should worry no group to join instead.

Last night explored new join 花都 with Bro Darke and BulleYe, later the joined Bro KongFuZhi and CareBear at 五十年代. AFter that we proceed to 二十一世纪 then got 4 singer out for supper. Long time never hop like that laio.

花都 is a very small join opened join less than 6 months with 12 singer. There are with two game machines but no pool table. Singers standard CMI but beer is cheaper then other join, $28 per jur.

As for 五十年代 and 二十一世纪, no need to describe again as there are already many posts on these two joints.

Starlight (星光) in Cuppage seems to be doing poorly, not many customers. But also means good choice of singers to sit with you. On Wed they have short-pants night so if you like to see more, that's a good night. Have very lively mgr who's always fun to watch and talk to.

Xianzi (仙子) I noticed got many new singers over past 2 months, I think quite cute. My sense is still amongst best for cute singers, but of course amongst worst for decor. But has pool table which to me is plus

Xianzi (仙子) I noticed got many new singers over past 2 months, I think quite cute. My sense is still amongst best for cute singers, but of course amongst worst for decor. But has pool table which to me is plus

歌城歌坊 have only returned once recently so can't say much, but did see one very chio singer who already have many customers so didnt' bother hanging her. Someday will return and learn her name

DC always has advantage that hall is right where KTV girls wait, so can lookie-lookie when you don't like singer. I go DC more for KTV so only hang there occasionally

Bro good info. Have been to XianZi b4 and agree with u that the singers are quite cute. The only thing is the place a bit run down and the seat arrangment not too good sometime cannot see the stage clearly.

Yah of the one I listed, right now i'd say their singers are cutest, perhaps 4-5 really chio. Problem is not only run down and your righ side seats have bad view, but also regulars there often hang quite big, so if you want attn of chio girls, will cost you! And they have the late night (1am?) big show where all girls get on stage. Good first time you go you can decide who you want to hang, but bad once you like girl b/c then you alone for a while.

I told SK we are not first timer to HFJ so dun bother with what the mgr say. sms start flying and i try to reason to him but he disagree so let it be. This is the actual story.

I dun anyhow hang flowers and even if my gal i will only hang $100 only unless she got show then $ 500 or $ 1000. My gal have never even ask me to book table for them inwhich they must fulfil. Bro you can always tell them you dun hang anyhow but if you start hanging you will continue to hang. If not to my liking i dun even talk to them but will only answer their question. I have told the singer manager but she refused to listen and dun leave me with a choice. I am very particular in choosing singer. If manager bring and i cannot click i dun hang. If i request the singer then i will definitely hang even no chemistry (hang minimum only). I will also educate singer about my style...and dats why non ask me to book table even though they want it. Those who request will be chop off the next time i am there....hahaha....we are only having fun and they noe i have gal friend so make them fight for their place in my heart.

That joint is once you sit a singer you have to hang flower or pay tips. But if you dun intend to hang flowers, then you can make known intention BEFORE any singers sit with you, not after. 1) mention - 2 singers run away - was sometimes ago, 1 singer - entangle with boyfren...bla bla.... - story was few months back.

2) another 4 singers - all from DongBei, 1 working 3 mths - run.. another 2 work 2 days - run, last one - work 3 days - run.

The employer - lost 30K (5K each for each singer)to MOM for the deposit.
It mention "City area" and owner - used another name called - JOHN.

Due to changing of rules, now to obtain singer license, they do not need to go Beijing for interview, so now middleman(Agent) using this loophole to entice the gals to come here, and later those gals found out that the picture painted by the agent and the real world is so different, they could not earn BIG monies, so they decide to run to find a better place to get a quick return for their investment.

Under such a gloomy ecomony, maybe more to come....due to slow down in business, bros all will also tighten up and hang less flowers.....
