The Ya Xin at Qiangui is shorter, prettier, and sings much better. but i found her on the aggressive side when it comes to getting customers.;) Heard that she's be leaving soon too.

the people who goto hang flower joint are only a few. With very few new entries. most of the old big flower hanger i know go from joint to joint giving out donations as they go. They dont really stick to one join repeatedly.

so if you see a joint having little customer does not mean it wont boom the next week.

Also dont pity the singers, some of them have HIDDEN customer, or people that BAO the singer. i caught news of a few singer who has Hidden customer, same old story, they will go and tell new customer they dont have flower and ask them to support. but the real reason none of the old bird hang flower for them is because they will take tips and keep. and if they cant hit the quota that month they use the tips to top up. So please dont be robert.

well said, bro! this is indeed a very good reminder to season hangers and debutants! indeed, these customers (roberts) go around (from joint to joint). and each session, they can hang flowers by hundreds to thousands. when you are there with not too many customers, there is no need to pity the singers. their customers will be back or behind-the-scene supporting them!

You are very right. The old bird in the industry already pao the gal. They are not so stupid to hang flowers so regular now. They support them with quota. So many a time if you are inbterested in thge gal, keep a good look out and their behaviors. You will Know.

Just visited 2 small budget joints in Kim Seng Plaza......J & B and Maxim. Not much to shout about but a pretty thing from Fuzhou caught my eye in J & B......named Little Snow.......made small talk and realised she used to be from DC.....
The other day a bit low on funds so visited Hawaii for some low budget fun....Datuk was the center of attraction.....not because I hang alot of flowers (only total 16 flowers in all) but because I was the YOUNGEST customer!!! And one bottle was only $128 (cheapest in town or what?). Might make this place my regular joint:D

Hawaii is cheap but however the place look very run down and the sofa sux ... but for price wise indeed lower a lot than a lot joints ... Frankly places like these DC and etc are high end flower hanging places thus i usually prefer go to small joints which is better ... However in small joints there are also quite a number being "pao" ...

I ordered a jug of beer as I was alone, it cost $32 net. A bit expensive I think if compared to some other places. The singers not too bad. A few quite good looking. Mostly from China, was told a few from malaysia and One from Singapore but did not see them as only the China ones are around that night. Any bro have tried that place can maybe tell more...

Saturday went to Pebbles KTV at Aliwah street. It is off beach road. If you are familiar with where Success Resources is, its near there. Beer price is $25++ so total is about $29.15 per jug. Singers quite ok. The place not too big. Notice they have changed to new sofa, much more comfy..

Also tried popping into Hawaii which is walking distance from Pebbles. But decided not to go in cos the place is small and sofa was really quite old compared to the two places above. Maybe becos the time i pop by was 8 plus which is where the happy hour show is ending. Saw a lot of old man there, quite rowdy though. Din feel in place with the crowd so take my leave.

Anyway, any bro wanna try going to these joints just pm me and we will arrange.

Goodluck singers are good because there are a few who are 'real' singers from China with professional training.....The prcs have to sing the 1st set and the local and malaysian singers only perform when the 2nd set comes on.......the MC is Yue Lei......a household name in local music scene.....but the boss of this place very ngeow.....dun expect any free drinks or discount even if you are regular.......

U can always just hang flowers minimum $30. But I wun suggest u waste time at qian gui. Most of the singers has their regular customers liao. That's y u see all the $100 slashes up.

Agree with you :) I was told that there are two systems in 50s. The other system is you book the singer, booking fees is $60 per hour. The singer then will just seat with you and can only go on stage singing or go toilet. So unless u really eye and like a singer that much, then it is not worth booking.

End of the day, the objective of the singer and KTV ger are the same, ie, to earn as much money as they can...however, the way they do is different. The way to play the game also different. For singers, they are here with a valid work permit, their job is to sing..so your singer is rite by saying she does not goes to bed...but singers are rewarded by the flowers they get..no flower no money. But hanging flowers does not mean u will get to sleep with the singers. It requires more mind game. Make the singers feel that her life will not be as easy without you around. Not necessarily by big flowers...but by small and consisitent flowers...More to the game, and i am still learning too :)

U got that rite bros. well below is roughly a collection of why bros hang flower.

1. Enjoyment, singer sing well, look pretty, or my favourate song, i hang flower as encouragement.

2. I like the singers company, so i dont mind hanging flower so the singer has an excuse to keep me company. Please note if you hang flower they have a reason to sit at your table, when there is a spot check they can always say, they are there to THANK you for your flower. According to their work permit they are not allowed to sit with customer, this is the only loop hole. So please dont be an ass like some bros and DEMAND the singer to sit with them.

3. Have alot of money to spend dont know where to spend it. (hahahaha.. i still lafing at this one.. but they its a valid answer)

4. Has alot of ENT budget, and know the singer so use it to cash out. The singer hits the quota for flower, and she in turn pays you a sum of the flower money after she gets her share. Used to know a bro who does this, hang 10K flower, claim ENT. Singer gets a 80-20 split, so she gets back 8K, she then shares with the bro 4K each. win win situation... ok the company loses hahaha.

5. ROBERT aka "chai tau" aka "pigs to be slaughtered". This is the case of the singer looking nice and pretty, and you think you can catch the singer. you hang flower after flower to get the singer attention, and the singer pays you some attention which you think is love. then she will tell you.. i never hit quota lah need to top up or have problem... father die for the 3rd time, need to go back to china... no other customer hard to live in singapore lah... all those excuse. then ask you to hang more or pay for her rental or give her money. U will have to judge for yourself if you like being a Robert or not for this... no comment.

and to answer the question of Bro OMEGA3..... a singer should know what she is expected to do when she comes over.

1. Perform on stage.
2. Earn money from performance.

how she does the Earn money from performance is rather dodgy. If she ends up with some TEKO agent (mostly male and one fat female agent) then they would be forced to perform sexual acts with the customers or in the event of the male agent.. with them. I know a singer that was forced to sleep with the male agent because the male agent dumped her in a slump with no customer and she cant pay her agent fees. And in the event of the fat female agent, she forced her singer to sell herself to get money to pay her agent fees.

by no means is she obligated to sleep with the customer. but then some singers sleep with the customer so they can get more flower. TO be able to not sleep with customer and still get flower she has to be well trained.. i.e. there is this Taiwan singer in LV that can give out 1000000 Volts with her eyes... hahah almost killed the bro that was with me at LV... or you must know how to play mind games well with customer. But then there are some place like "club Pheonix" whereby the singer is obligated to sleep with the customer if the customer hangs a certain amount of flower (dont bother rushing down to this place though.....its cheaper to go for FL).

I tell u story of one of my friend. Lets call it.

"The story of the poor singer who got conned"

Long time ago, in a place called sillypore, there was 2 bros who were just out for fun. running from club to club drinking beer, playing games and not calling for gals.. to the point everyone who did not know them would think they were gay. but then for the regular they were known as "Bai ge" and "Xuai ge".

One day, bai-ge and xuai-ge was doing their usual round when they stumbeled onto a KTV (just beside RS). they went up and saw the singer there singing, with no customer. Then one singer caught Xuai-ge's sights. so he hung 50. the singer came over and thanked xuai-ge. she played dice with xuai-ge and bai-ge and nothing more.

The next trip same thing happened. then the singer said to xuai-ge .. if he has motif please tell her, because aparently the singers are obliged to sleep with the customer who hang a certain amount of flowers at the joint. and she is being sent off because she does not want to sell her body. She did not know of this when she came to sillypore, the agent has told her a lie... after she disclosed the agents name, bai-ge knew that the agent ment to trap the girl in the first place (that male agent famous for this).. and she got conned. So xuai-ge told the singer.. he has no objective, just tot of hanging flower to see her smile (ok..i shorten the reason, if i tell the whole story it would take me 100 pages.. Xuai-ge if you reading this and want to elaborate .. be my guess)

So after that when she was told to leave the joint and while waiting to get transfered to another joint.. she kept xuai-ge company for the next few days. all the while all she wanted was to be with xuai-ge and keep him company. (err dont know if sex was involved.. but xuai-ge keeps saying no)

but since xuai-ge is like the wind, there was no way she could keep him, when she because a "stickie" xuai-ge began to avoid her. desperate to see xuai-ge again, she called bai-ge and told him to tell xuai-ge, all she wanted was not a relation, but to be by his side and to keep him company and to see his smile.... as much as bai-ge would like to help, he cant because of reasons that would be told in graphic detail the upcoming book "Bai-Ge's CHeonging Adventures..." soon to be published.. hahaha.. joking.

Anyway in the end bai-ge advice her to forget xuai-ge and go home to china, because she aint earning money here in singapore, and she would have a much better chance of survival in china.

The morale of the story.. not all china singers are bad... there are some good ones... but they would most probably be back in china by now. all those that are left knows how to play the game, and they play the game well.

Bro.. you could never be the only one. each singer has a quota of 5-8K for small KTV and for larger places a quota of 10-15K... if they dont hit the quota they would be asked to leave the joint.

There is no way they will only have one man, unless that guy can hang 10K flowers a month, and even if there is one guy like that. they would find another. But one thing to note from the story i said earlier... you might be the special one they are looking for .. the "xuai-ge" but then hor. if thats the case. they wont want your money.. because i left out a paragraph from the story... when "xuai-ge" mentined to the singer that he is in a tight financial spot. the singer offered to pay "xuai-ge" back for the expanses he spent on her.

If they like you and if you are their "xuai-ge" THEY WONT WANT YOUR MONEY. and they wont mind GIVING you money. All china gals are like that. they are willing to sacrifice to the one they love.. problem is.. most of the time.. the one they love is in china.

From my experience, it's not all that difficult to get close with a PRC singer lah. First, as bro T55 alluded to, you need have "gold-digger filter." That is, to tell them at the beginning, you're not rich, won't come often to hang big flowers, but just to relax, drink, and hear songs. (Of course, you need some start-up fund to get access to a singer first.)

Then, it depends on your charm lah. If you two get along, then stop going to her workplace and ask her out for dinner, movie or whatever (but not spend too much money). If she goes along and keep this relationship with you, that's a clear indication that she's not looking for money in you, but for companion, relationship (doesn't have to be sexual or serious lah).

If she's only looking for money, but you got addicted to her, then my advice is to visit other joints. There are plenty of fish in the sea.

I have a PRC buddy, a handsome young man. Man! Wherever he goes, he can always got singers who want to have personal relationshp with him! So, i benefited a little too. :cool: Now we have a very good friendship with a beautiful singer from a top joint, who would buy herself out to hang out with us (only once in a while though).

From wat i know, $60 only when u book the singer, ie, the singer cannot go anywhere else but sit with you. But if u only buy tea, then it is $15. Singer will come for a while then disappear then come back and things like that. So unless u r really really really attracted to the singer, then dun spend that $60...btw who here keen to find a place a hang flowers together???

Was at DC last Friday night 26/5... as usual sitting at the high chair infront of the stage. Was a pretty quiet night but who needs a crowd when you got the 2 biggest flower hangers sitting together in the same sofa??

Even before the "pagent"... folks under stage already raring to go. $200, $500, $1000 keep getting hung even for the worst singing and ordinary looking singers.

Then came the "pagent".... wah some fella not sure who started hanging $100 for all 15 singer plus the jian dan lao shi. Thought that was already quite a feat. Then came this fella everybody call "Bang Zhu", "clan leader" or "jin mao shi wang". He was already pretty drunk. One of the captain had to helped him walk to the stage and he start pointing at almost all the singers across the stage. Wow... $1000 for all 15 singers plus jian dan lao shi. That $16,000 at a go!!! That's not it...... then came a $10,000 flower for their favorite Nana. But that's not the end of it.... in his drunken stupor... he grabbed all the $100, $200, $300 and $500 sashes and hung them ALL for Nana.... that could be another $10,000~$20,000 in additional :eek:

After the pagent... all the singers basically flocked to him and his friend (60+ yr old chap, he also regular super flower hanger) toasting to them and thanking them. Subsequently for every singer that sang again after the pagent.... he kept throwing $1000 after $1000.

Wah..... unbelieveable. I know some bro said these flower maybe a show but I suspect it's real that night because the owner was no where to be seen that night. Heard from mummy that he's overseas. And beside... fake flowers were meant to stimulate competition in the flower war.... with "bang zhu" hanging a few 10Ks at a go..... he basically crushed any compeitition at all.

As for me.... absolutely pointless to hang anything.... even my fav Xiao Ya still got close to 2K. It was still nice of her to spend most of the night chatting and playig dice and drinking games with me... even though I did not give her a single cent. She's really nice and a good friend lah.... not the very calculative type. :)

When the flower joint started abt ten years ago, this is a fun place. As time goes by, the standard has dropped alot. When opened, many indonesians go there and would say is like DC or Qian Gui now. But don't bother going there now, salted vegetables more.

Went to check out this joint after missing out on the official grand opening last week....this was the old F11 (had good memories with my bro popiah and KEFOS bros here, even celebrate CNY)

The place's been done some renovations....some ktv rooms have been torn down to make way for a stage and a bigger lounge area....there's even a pole dancing platform:eek: and to add to the weird decor there a pool table at the back. There's also furniture at the door (dun know is discarded one or for patrons to sit).

Went I walk in there were uncles belting out english oldies and the ballons from the opening festivities still glued to the ceilings....din keep my hopes up

When the singing started proper.....the singers were a mix of 'veterans' (familiar faces from other joints) and newbies......a few lookers....place quite empty.....din stay for the 'pai pai chang'......might go again tonight to reece again

Was taken by my friends there last nite for a drinking session. Not much has change in this place. Beer at S$28 a jug, stout at S$37 a jug. Flower start from S$10. THey have like 20 singers here at least and 2 rotating live band.

Environment remind me of the old caberet in the 80's, singer singing and customer dancing with the gals on the dance floor. The atmosphere here is certainly different from other hanging flower joints.

The singers range from PRC to Singaporean to Malaysian. age wise is from 25 to 60... YES 60.

I would recomend this place to bros who want some cheap beer and some cheap trill (some of the older gals can really dance)

I have visited tis place for years. The reason why I like this place as compared to others, the flower real cheap like you mentioned. Also, I dun drink beer one, so I take coke, is like $9 per can.. Aunty come with wet towel is only $2.. You are like going back to the environment of Shanghai in the 60s. hee hee. In fact, this time round is better liao, no so smokely like before cos they have a separate room for smoker. Brudder is rite, got two old ladies that one is 55 and another is 60.. appearance looked lke mamasam but they are not. Cheap is cheap but to bonk the singer is not cheap. my friend hang the flower almost reach $5K then finally got to bonk once. In-fact, the lady that goes round the table sitting is better, but they are older, you only tips them atmost $20, can touch liao and dance with you too. Brudder, I was being taught by a experience cheonger. There is no prc gals be it singer or not, cannot hanky panky. As long as you pay them enough ($ amount can be subjective hor), such can get one. For the singers, i would say that most of them are young, pretty and busty.
the one-popular singer from dynasty classic (xiao ling) is there too.

I heard news from the grapevine, Qian Gui is searching for a investor/buyer. hahaha. My friend was asked to go hang fake flowers last week because there was a potential investor. damn funny, there was 15 of us there split into 5 different tables and we were just hanging up flowers 50,100,200.

it is time to contribute back to all what i have experienced.I have only been introduced to this by about 6 months back.but i must say that i have learned abit and made friends with some these singers already.they are here to make money from you!!!!!

I must say that it is almost impossible a have a relationship from anyone of them without feeling hurt at some point.I am fortunate that I have found a girlfriend in one of them.As such i could go out for meals with ease with these singers and hear all their stories and their customers.

I have met girls from 4-5 different places.Apart from the supper, i had stayed over with them at their apartment,played majong watch DVD sampled their cooking. then beware of the brother "ke" from china.Sometime when the girl recieved a sms and says it is her brother.it probably her supportor from china.Yes they exist and they are there.

so far i have met and seen some of these big timers and believe me the flowers that they hang are incredible.dont be mistaken it is not the i know the boss got discount one type. it is not for the faint hearted.5k 10k 20k up to 180k one night for a girl.

so however rich you are, think again unless you are bill gates.So these singers that come here are really trying their luck.I have personally know of these regulars having more than 1 girlfriend supporting up to 10k a month.every month.

these girls do come back too to singapore under different passes once their time is up.So how long do you wish to keep them it can be for long term as long as the money keeps flowing.I have met one girl that has 2 boyfriends that singapore alone.she stays in a condo in town,does not need to sign any contract with the flower joint as she buys the space for herself.Plus with one of the boyfriend wanting to buy an appt in china as well.

Another place is Xiao Huang Gong at Shenton Way. Next to new generation. Beer is $30 per jug and flower is minimum $20. Singers not as good as those in Joo Chiat. Overall ambience quite nice.

Heard Hong Kong Palace has a new place at Aliwal Street. But have not been there. Any bro been there b4, how is the place there?

Geylang Lor 27 is it called Sakura or something like that? Located at 2nd level one? walk pass there, saw some photos but did not get to go in. U know how much the beer there?

As for pebbles, the place newly renovated, more cosy now. many new stock there, in fact singers almost all new. A few not too bad looking. But saw customers mainly a pek there. What is interesting is the room, saw a number of babes walking in and out. Was told they have a new malay mami so bring in a number of malay gers. Was around beach rd area on a sunday about 5pm+. Nothing to do so drop by Hawaii which starts session at 6pm. At first thot the singers would most probably be the aunties so just intend to go for the cheap drink ($6per glass beer).

But surprised to see a few syt singers. Quite good looking i would say. some comparable to those of the bigger joints. The system in Hawaii a bit different. There is no mummy and no singer manager. So the singers just go about any tables that they like. I first was swam by those singers, young n old alike. But after indicating to them I would be hanging any flower, most siam immediately to other tables.

It is still a senior citizen place as the customers are most older man. Think I dun c anyone of my age there. :)

Was at Hoomiki yesterday. Quite boring leh, the place. Those "touch hand, touch leg" kind of place. ONLY can touch hands and legs.

I thing I didn't know though is that these singers, at least the 2 of them that was in my room, don't take tips directly from you. Instead they want you to hang flower. I seriously didn't know that. When my gal was outside singing, the waitress came in and asked if I wanted to hang flower. I said "No." thinking that since going to tip her, don't waste anymore money. We stayed till closing time where everybody left. The singer that sat with me left as well, without even coming back to my room. My other friend sat with a singer as well, he left early and wanted to tip her direct. The gal also don't want to take from him. He had to force it into her hands. We all newbie, didn't know this kind of "rule" :o

Nice singers there, and the drinks are quite affordable at less thank a jug and whisky is abt 200. The singers are mostly PRC and some very sweet and model std. best part is if dont hang flowers, also can give "hongbao" each $10

Open hall concept and you can also sing karaoke songs.

Not sure any bros here know the place and there is this singer fei2 who look like Janet aw. Will try to get intimate with her next.

errr most of the singers are high maintenance leh. unless you about their age then your chance of getting them is high. Even if you get romantic with them, try not to take up too much of their time, or else they wont be able to earn money or flowers and then you might end up forking out the bill for their agent fees.

Usually to hook a singer, you will need to frequent that place and find the correct time to hang flower (or give angpow) dont waste your chance. because someone might just hang a higher value and she will be oblige to entertain that someone.

the last time i was at this pub.. like not many customer hang flower leh. but now i dont know. last time the singers all CMI. that was like 2 months ago.

Its a totally different system.

in places like BS, DG and NSH the gals dont get a fixed salary, so the establishment dont have such a system. But the singers have a basic salary, which usually is tied to their quota.

this Hanging flower thing has been around for ages. In the past when companies employ performers, and the performers gets rich form tips and the company goes bust. so the Hanging flower system was devised to ensure that the performers do not take under table money and the company will get revenue.

The money you spend on flowers is actually shared among the performer and the establishment. depending on joint, the ratio is 50-50, 60-40, 70-30.
And each performer will usually have a quota to hit. If they do not hit their quota, their PVP will be terminated and they will have to return to where they came. So if you want the singer to keep performing you have to Support her by hanging flower.

Thus singers will usually hang around or be nice to those who can afford to hang alot of flowers, its afterall survival. And most singers do not go out with customers because if news gets around that they are easy, the flowers will stop.

hence the customers hang flowers for any one of the below reasons.
1) TO support their fav singer
2) TO show that they can afford it, these guys get super VIP treatment. And they can afford to spend 10K a nite (i wonder where they get their money from??)

anyway i dont usually hang flower i just hang around those who do. and thats the info i gather.

The quota for the singers ranges from $6000 to $10000 per month. Meaning they have to hit at least $6000 of flower permonth. If they dun, their contract maybe terminated and they will be asked to go home. That is why most singers would prefer you to hang flowers instead of tipping them.

For some joint I know, the singers are asked to top up the shortfall from their own pocket if they do not hit the target.
