from what i know, there is a section of the law that gives the men the benefits of a doubt ( provided the man is below 23 years old, i think,) is that when he is bonking a girl under the age of 16years old but above 14 years old and at the time, the girl told him that she is above 16 years old ( of course the men had to prove this) and he also belives her based on her looks and dressing etc, then he can claim trial for the charge of carnal connection or rape against him......

It is under Woman's Charter Cap 353 Section 140 subsection (5)

(5) In the case of a man below the age of 21 years, the presence of reasonable cause to believe that the girl was above the age of 16 years shall be a valid defence on the first occasion on which he is charged with an offence under subsection (1) (i).

Offence under Cap 353 Section 140 subsection (1) (i)

140. —(1) Any person who —

(i) has carnal connection with any girl below the age of 16 years except by way of marriage; or

Thus, the moral of the story is that you can use this defence only once but of course you must be under 21 years old to use it......for people like me.....cannot liao....so of course a BIG NO to any gals Under 16!!!!
