I can't imagine that the women just didn't run. So either they just had smaller breasts like most other animals, or the discomfort is just something they just got used to? I can't imagine running without a sports bra, and I don't have huge boobs.

I haven't been able to find a good answer with my google skills. Maybe someone here has had more successful research.
