So before she does anything, she MUST HAVE PROOF OF HIM THREATENING HER. In court case, if she has proof of him threatening her, her words will carry more weight.

For protecting her identity.. well there is no guarantee that the case can be kept under tight lids unless the presiding judge passes an order to have a media blackout. Unless your friend is someone of social standing or have very strong backing in the government, that is not likely to happen.

He has found a golden goose, there was a first time and there is a second time and there is more to come that he has pictures and he wants money. If I am not wrong, soliciting clients for sex is punishable, but most of the time the authorities will not pursue matter or proceed with pressing charges unless there is some serious criminal activity involved. Your friend may humiliation at most. Blackmail on the other hand, is a very serious offence and comes with a heavy fine + imprisonment. I am sure there are brothers out there who can verify this based on their job scope.

The best is to make a police report, otherwise there is no end to the matter and I am sure your friend is sick and tired of trying to hide from the perpetrator.
