been a lurker on SBF for too long that I forgot my password … needed to create a new account to post this to help a friend. My beer buddy has repeatedly met creeps on her dates OKcupid etc but she’s open minded enough so she’s trying her chance to meet guys that are more gentlemanly and willing to at least pay $60 to get to know her better. The creep part comes when you try to get past her main door into her home when she doesn't want you to. Maybe we live in SG that's why most of us dun see the need for the sending of the girl safely to her home and making sure she gets home safe.... But in many countries, where safety is an issue, it should be an obligation for the guy to do so.... Other than safety reasons, the guy whom she doesn't know well might be a stalker and there might be privacy reasons as well.

I also am of the opinion that by charging for a date, you'll invite more creeps than whatever dating site she tried. so how did I arrive at $60?
assuming a date is willing to pay 20 days of $60 so that's at least 1200 dollars of disposable income... the take home has to be 2400-3600 depending on the comfort level or willingness to spend ... and whether he's paying for car loan etc ...
so even if the guy takes her on a beer night under the stars at Faber park .. spends v little on the date expenses or even if it's just canned drinks .. at least I know it's not a scammer or xiaobailian that's trying to cheat sex and fortune ..
