Singapore Idol wildcard contestant Meryl Joan Lee withdraws

SINGAPORE : Seventeen-year old Singapore Idol wildcard contestant Meryl Joan Lee has withdrawn from the competition because of school commitments.
In a statement, Ms Lee said she was unable to juggle her studies and the Singapore Idol talent quest at the same time due to the rigorous schedule.

MediaCorp says there will be no replacement and the remaining seven wildcard contestants will compete for the final four spots in the Top 12.

Mathilda De Silva, Norman Then, Prmiero Ang, Gayle Nerva, Jay Lim, Choy Siew Woon and Geraldine Chua will battle it out in a performance to be shown on Channel 5 at 8pm on Wednesday.

The results will be announced at 8.30pm on Thursday. - CNA /ct

Wow, wat a pity she chose to withdraw.. Actually i'm quite sad to hear tis as i supported her.. Her looks and figure is so perfect to me... But somehow she not so popular with other contestant ba.. Everyone avoid her or maybe she too "hao lian" since from wealthy family..

Very sad to see her crying, hope she strive well for her studies..

Anyway she make a good choice also, every year have tis singapore idiol.. She still can take part next year... All the best to her studies ba.. :D
