This is called "scarification" whereby instead of ink and needles, they "cut" the design out with scalpels.

I personally find this pretty cool.

Am very interested to go for it, but still haven't been able to find a studio in Singapore that does it.

P.S. the penis modifications are seriously EXTREME.

In Singapore there have shop(s) that do the so call "scarification". Read it from some where not too long ago. They even have service that make a small cut on the skin and insert small ball-bearing and let it heal. End product is a few humps on the skin. There is this guy who did it to his penis.
