If this is a double posted thread..I do apologised as probably I have missed it. If this is a new thread, I"m certainly surprised why St.James Power Station Clubbing scene is not being mention & discuss here to share as I have seen lads putting their comments & flings FR etc in the MOS thread.:confused:

Well..just to kick the ball rolling without any sleazy FRs ( I know it will be disappointment to some lads here who dont know me personally..as for those brudders who know me well...I dont have to re-iterate too much.:p ), I was at St James Bellini Room (Level 2) to chill with 1 of my newfound fling last Saturday evening. I was looking down through the glass window panel from Bellini room & I thought it was certainly exhilarating to see the packed partying scene all across St James Power Station where people are grooving along with the music at Movida, Dragonfly and particularly Powerhouse. The place is definately bustling with people flocking in & out of different joints. Most of the ladies really dressed to kill making Clarke Quay sitting at second best in our little Sillypore. I maybe judgemental but it was quite good to be honest as I have only been to ST.James thrice since the launch of Dragonfly.

I reckoned I should make St james my future watering hole just deciding on which room to fix my base or maybe some of the St James regulars can share their pointers or views about the place.

Well..as you know sToney usual watering holes on friday, I should have listen to you making my way to st.James sooner than expected. :rolleyes: Actually, I dont prefer Dragonfly which I find it's more like a performance based place than party or chill out. Guess the patrons are those who loves stage performances by Sky & William Scorpion which surely is not my cup of tea.

As said, I reckoned not all the rooms suits my taste but I was particularly impressed with Bellini & Movida in my humble opinion. On the contrary, PowerHouse is definately a blast which I have no qualms about it.

Seems to me you're a regular at st.James nowadays yeah??? Any tantalising FRs to share with the lads here?? kekeke..

Got a Vip card to dragonfly, Free entry, but you still end up buying a bottle of martel or any bottles. since there unstated rule if you're aint "bottling" you dun get a sit. and manz.... there's like little to no room for standing.
Not mentioning plently of near expired mei mei clinging on to ham sup uncles. (btwn i'm in my mid 20s.)
and dun bother trying to frag the babes there too. Since the place is rather catered to high roller, they probly bought their own ATM along too. no chance for you to be their ATM, even if you're a handsome towel like me. Or u'll end up force drinking by some MILF aunties who wants a piece of ur dingy.

Honestly, I wasn't refering to dragonfly and I dun bother to go there at all.....
1) Too many rich uncles liao
2) Many so-call expired mei meis, IMHO, those are MILFs standard to some of our bros here. And there are some who can make it.
3) A lot of Lians and Bengs (Many fights happen becos of char bos)
4) there is an age limit for dragonfly....so i guess you wont be able to find wat you are looking for since you are mid 20s

I was referring to better outlets like ladies night @ powerhouse on wednesday, the crowd is younger with a good mix of executives. age limit is 21 so go guess the crowd is definitely better.

Movida is another nice outlet where u have a "acting higher class" executives who have money to spent and try to appreciate latina music...and this is the place for stewardess...

No offence to any brothers here, I am not promoting this place neither am i working there, but just felt that we cannot judge these place just by the crowd in dragonfly becos i am sure there are bros here who enjoy canto pop....:p

Actually it really depends, but i seriously think Army boy FIBA tactic doesnt work in most cases. Boiler Room is western / POP with some stage dancers, and an excellent Band. Rumour has it some top local musicians were 'born' from that band. My kind of place, specially on Friday and Saturday. Other days not much crowded, but I guess all places in Singapore now like that .. including Devil's bar and O bar.

Each place have theme .. like Dragon Fly is Cantonese / Chinese.
Summary - Hope I am not boring (and not promoting - just sharing info :)

DragonFly - mandarin / canto pop with band an dancers. I been there ...

Mono - karaoke venue, with one big open bar and some rooms (dunno exact details .. ) - didnt step in.

Movida - cuban / latino theme music with mostly similiar number, and the band is mexican or cuban (too many hot chicks in the band, I swear .. the jennifer lopez types, who can shake shake and make milkshake...) - been there ..

Bellini Room - Jazz music - didnt step in YET

Gallery Bar - bar where you are at higher level and see other disco places (sound proofed ..) so you can decide which one has good action.

Powerhouse - heard it is the biggest outlet - 10k sq feet - didnt step in or could locate it :D anybody tell me how it is- thanks

Me quitted SG & been overseas 4 few years liao. Outta touch wif many things in SG, including commuting around! When I was in SG 4 CNY, I was told by frens tat SJ is the most "in" party club now, wif Govt / Tourism Board support / promotions, etc etc.

Went down SJ several times wif different groups of frens, but it seems 2 me, every nite oso got fights, gals oso took part in fighting. Saw the crowd in there, I was real shocked!!! I have not been to many "battles" in my ground these days due to some restrictions. I can hear peoples are screaming behind my back vividly for the last couple of weeks. Btw, the good part is...if you're there early..( I mean damn early like 8ish~9ish), you have the possibility of bumping an early working class crowds at Dragonfly NOT Powerhouse!!Usually, they're there for a quick quench after knocking off work & will not stay late. However, these have to take some effort for follow-up action and may cause you lots of time & $$.

It's all depends on you in how you are going to stretch you time..also..not forgetting your dollars....;)
