Today, my mum sat down at the table with me and my dad. She calmly said "Your dad has a mistress in Indonesia."

I gave her a blank expression. She just laughed it off and told my dad "not to bring back any extra brothers and sisters" for me.

In my mind, I experienced two different feelings. First is the natural bad feeling "why must Dad be like that" etc. On the other hand, I also have many flings/affairs outside my present BGR.

I don't know what to say. Inside my heart, I wondered if I'm like that due to the genes of my Dad's.

My mum has seen beyond her horizons. The same thing happens to my grandma/grandpa. Grandpa had a mistress who cheated him of nearly $200k before he cooped up himself in his room for the past 8 years. Will history repeat itself? I don't know. I don't even know what to say to my dad because I'm not much better than him, if not worst.

Ironical Sinner.

No matter what happens, at the end of the day he is still your dad. And you cant change the fact about it.

It'll take a while for family members to accept such things

It is definitely not about accepting, there is no way for acceptance in such scenarios, When you ply a game, there are rules to abide, no matter whether it is 10 years or 20 years, as long as you made a choice to play and commit, then stand by it.
