unfortunately, i have just come back to sg after 4 months in US. my wife-to-be got involved with someone during this period who promised her that he would come out with $ to open her beauty salon and also to divorce his wife. nothing has happened except that he still owes her 2k+ for helping him pay for his car instalments 1st. all this even though this guy knew that we r already preparing for our wedding. so i kinda understand what bro adrian_534 is going thru.

what can i do? my wife-to-be (my ex for 3 hours now) wasnt forced into the clandestine affair, although her ex-colleague and friend intro the guy to her. i guess i can only try to be a man whom my next gf would love wholeheartedly. i have always made sure that whoever i m going after is not attached in anyway, but what is there to stop such things happening to ourselves? i, like bro adrian_534, would like to go one-on-one with him and man, i m not kidding when i say i really want to hurt him real bad.

1) the steady is not matured enough: She is young and gullible.
2) you have not done enough in her book: Woman in general have this secret book that they keep tally on what a perfect guy should have, act or do.
3) she is a player or at lease a player once: Take this as an example. If she ever worked in the KTV business than I dare say she is a player. They almost always look for their own and theirs alone. The green pasture seeker. You know what they say about green pastures. The grass is always greener...
4) you're seriously a dickhead.

The 1st two points can only be remedied by her experiencing other partnership. While I wouldnt bother with the last 2.

My verdict for the 1st two.

Let her go and dont burn the bridge. Talk with her one final time and make your plea meaningful and memorable if you plan to get her back. Find out why and the reason behind her action. She needs to experience whats out there while you have to make a judgement call on what you have learn from her. If you are man enough to except that than the chances are you might get her back albeit a later date. She will be more matured and have a better understanding of things.

The moral of my deduction.

If you want a relationship. Get older and be wiser (for us guys at lease) and that means having at lease a two experiences. Make your mark and look for someone within your calibre. Just dont degenerate yourself into a monkey, you will only get peanuts in turn from all the noises you make.

bro derelict, after reading yr post, it just dawned on me. so i m going to put my half cent worth of my own thoughts.

1. my ex is neither young nor gullible. that's why i dont even dare to fool around, even with fls, whenever she is around. n i m the 1st to admit yes, i fool around, but i pay $ everytime and i do not become a regular of any fl. not that it makes it better.

3. she might or might not be a player. but i think if this is the greener pasture she is looking for, then i have nothing to say. she was driving my car around and that might have gotten people's attention cos i dont think she told people that it is not her car. but this guy had to ask for her help to pay off 4 months of car instalments (2k+ only also got problem?), how can she seriously believe that he can give her the money to open a beauty salon? my rough estimate would be 150k without reasonable equipment but not state of the art ones.

4. i certainly dont look like a dickhead and dont act like one. i certainly put in my best efforts to treat her and her daughter well, and i made sure i would make all the time i could afford to spend time with them. she has never complained about my lack of time due to work and she even emphatised that i was doing the best i can and appreciated it. she never had to worry about $ when she was with me.

so i guess i m no.2. just too bad.

oh, by the way, the guy already knows that i know about him n my visit this morning. so guys out there who r worried that u might be the one i m coming after, i m sorry to disappoint u, unless u know about my visit lor... ;)

letz say, u have a dog and accidentally u let it run out of the house. if it shd return to ur side after days, going thru the temptations tat may exist outside. shd u be happy tat it is really loves u and loyal to u?

if it nvr returns, shd u be happy tat it's loyalty and love for u is questionable?

i not sure my comparison make sense or not but at a point it make sense to me.

i do have a dog who is old already, shits n pees all over the place (he was toilet trained when he was young), barks indiscriminately at bangala, made me spend $800 to go for a bladder operation due to too much junk food. he can always make his way home. even if he is lost, we will always find him cos he will bite at strangers who try to take him away cos he is still too damn cute for his age.

yes, it is offensive to dogs, my dog especially,:mad: to make such comparisons.

Infact I was compel to write my post in reference to some of the findings in your post (good points). You have hit a cord and I wanted to give my point of view to the threadstarter as well as anyone bothered to read.

Sometimes we cannot perceive or pretend to understand what goes on in any given relationship. Take an argument between spouses as an example. In can just be an excuse to vent their frustration on simple miniscule redundant problems. If you care to look into it further you will simply notice that they want timeout in the relationship at that given time or at that instance. Thats usually when one should take an R&R from each other or better yet surprise her (if you can but I think leaving the room than works better). If one missed it, than it might blow out of proportion. If it goes on continuously it will poison the relationship no matter how good you are in other things. Us guys can be very dramatic. It short we can be clinical but in the end it all boils down to understanding ( I know I have preach this like a gazillion time already :) ) each other's needs.

another example I cant understand why my mom will remember all the wrong doings of her employee and how she can recap in detail what they have done many years ago during our weekly dinner. If anything good she have to say about any of them is like she just chewed a sour grape and always end with a grunt. Why? Because she can and because it pleases her. She does that because nobody in the office ever pointed it out to her right in her face. I doubt anyone dared. I cant remember ever hearing her talk about us (family) that way. Point I am making. A person can act or do things differently. She can be the dragon lady in the office but she can also be the loving mother and wife at home. So, dont pretend to understand relationship.

Frankly being in a relationship is never easy. There are so many mitigating factors involve in it. Its like driving a car, seriously. It is either you end up being a damn good driver or you can pretend to think you're a damn good driver. In the end if you dont take pointers from others, than you will never really know how good or how bad you really are.

Remember this. Most quarrel starts from an opinion. Opinion is the very foundation of problems that we face in this world. Infact opinion are like ass hole. Everybody has one. It takes an unclutted and well learned mind to spot and defuse it on the spot. (Here comes the boring part from me again) Talk and learn to listen.

If things goes amiss. I think its a damn good idea to look back and look in the mirror if what you have done is clear or succinct enough. Worst come to worst cut your losses and take it as a lesson learned.

many brudders here are steady, got principles. But there's oso some fellows out there who not steady, even gals got hb / bf oso wanna sian. Looking at another point of view, if the everyone in the whole world so steady, then there'd be alot less fights / war!!!

My opinion:

in a serious r/s, there must be trust. U trust tat yr judgement is correct, yr partner is faithful 2 u, wont fool around. U have the confidence in yr partner, and oso the confidence in yrself, tat u are able 2 attract yr partner & stay in a long-lasting r/s, tat other guys are not able 2 snatch her away from u. Vice versa, yr partner should have the same trust & confidence in u!

This is something which I see missing wif many SGPeans! The gals frown when their hb / bf is going somewhere where there's temptations to stray, example travel 2 Thailand or China 4 business, etc. They'd "impose rules", make regular phone call checks, etc. If the guys going India or Africa (sorry here, not trying to be racist nor offensive to Indians nor Africans), these gals aren't so worried. So it seems, SG gals feel more "superior" than Indian / African gals, but feel "inferior" when it comes 2 Thailand, China, etc. Similarly, the guys not happy, when they see other guys talking 2 their wives / gf, especially when it looks like the guys try 2 sian the gals.

Wat I believe in is, if the gal is fated 2 b 2gether wif u, end of the day, she's yrs. If not, u werent fated 2 be 2gether. If the gal make u wear green hat, then there's a saying: 绿冒不怕带，只要脱得快！

This kinda gal is not worth being 2gether wif her anymore. She has betrayed the trust. She can make u wear green hat 2day, she can oso make her future men wear green hat too! Like investment, I regard it as 少输当着赢, cut loss, stop loss. She's oredi farked by other guy(s), can she be un-farked? It's not like $$, where, if u lose, u can still earn back! Take the green hat off earlier, u wear it 4 a shorter duration. Delay it longer, u wear the green hat 4 a longer duration!!! How are u going to raise yr head & face the world, for each day u are wearing the green hat? So the earlier u take it off, the earlier u can raise yr head & face the world again! I'd say, this type of gals is cheaper than prostitutes! At least, prostitutes get paid. These gals are not paid (otherwise, they're oso prostitutes!). Worse, sometimes these gals pay the $$ ! no offence at least to me, but waked up i have, since yesterday. i should have made it clear that i met up with him tonite and he was saying that he knew i was making comments in the forum, so and so... i asked him in his face whether he knew of my existence (as her husband-to-be) and the answer was a positive yes. gave me a cock and bull story about how much he fell for her the 1st time he saw her and told me not to worry, he has a lot of money tied up in US stocks.:rolleyes: so helping her to open her salon was not a problem.

finally, i congratulate u on being able to live out of sg and hopefully settle somewhere else. been dreaming of the day i can finally get off this autocratic lump and settle down somewhere else, but for my family. they r traditional and r not used to living elsewhere. my mum recently went to gold coast and spent most of her time look for chinese restaurants, getting fleeced and eat lousy chinese food.

yr professional rates r very reasonable. my colleague paid SGD5k!!! for someone to put a papasan (mid-range ktv, cb mouth lah) in the hospital for a week, no broken bones, just serious bruises and a few broken teeth. and seriously, i like it even better when it is further outsourced cos the likelihood of tracking back to the original purchase order would be much more challenging.;)

But, I oso heard tat their chances of being caught up by the law is oso higher. In Taiwan, the rates can be around 100k - 200k TWD (about 5k - 10k SGD), depending on the profile of the target. From wat I heard, many such jobs engaged in Msia are outsourced to Thailand.

But well, in general, probably due 2 inflation of the economies / countries, the prices would've gone up / more different between countries!

I saw the PRC Chinese, the cream are still in China. Even the cream among the WLs are oso in there. It's those who lose-out in the intense competition out there, tat's seeking refuge outside, then regarded as talents by SG!

I'd personally spoken 2 several real talents, they all said similar things: they're paid well, but expenses in SG's oso damn high, compared 2 many other countries! Plus, the environment & demand on them, they simply dun like it!!!

Wat can we expect, tat someone's policy & mentality is graduates breed graduates, scholars breed talents? Who's born with a silver (should be golden oredi) spoon, has no commercial experience, no life / survival fighting experience, yet still can be Govt & lead the country? Everything needs 2 be "measured", whether the "measurement tool" is effective / practical anot oso dunno. U score As & Distinctions in yr studies, u can try apply / squeeze yr way into the "talent" classification.

bro 84gunner, saw yr post yesterday but didnt have time to reply. glad to know that u r well in LOS in spite of all the commotion there. can see that u r quite the kaypoh as well, labour strikes and all. the only thing i have remotely walked into that might harm my sorry ass was probably the swaying buildings in +++yo during an "earthquake", that was just once. my jap colleagues told me not to worry cos it was just a rumbling, a baby by their reckoning. my whole face must be damn pale cos they got me to sit down and got a very pretty OL to bring me some tea to calm my nerves.:o

well, initially, I didnt care / bother, until I oso became a victim of it; SG management practices such as no OT pay for most levels (which in PRC, OT has to be paid at many levels), playing punk on bonus payouts (declare oredi then say tat manager has no authority to declare, so no count, or last minute transfer pple away, rendering them not eligible 4 bonus, etc etc), taking advantage of foreign employees' salaries via exchange rate (2 company favor of course), then still wanna apply SG Law??? Many of my PRC colleagues damn tulan oredi, many oso left oredi. When I'm oso victimised, they asked my opinion, I said I'll not report 4 work until the matter is resolved. Tat's how it led 2 a labor strike!

Tat project's problems was known throughout the industry, either pple die-die dun join tat project (or our coy), or they demand sky-high (maciam black market extortion rate) salary, ie. 16k SGD per month, for PRCs, in China! Tat project's problems (incl our labor strike) led 2 the downfall of the GM (an SGPean) in China, & the SGPean VPs under him oso left / had 2 leave subsequently!

even my parents r disgusted with this place that they r the ones to tell me to pack my bags and go with them

well, my parents are disgusted! I had the idea, but they had the same idea & they popped the idea 2 me, asking me 2 buy a property in PRC so they all can move there!

oh by the way, i need to point out that the best WLs r not in china per se. they definitely r not in sg for sure. they r in MACAU!!!:D

hmm...din know tat, mebbe I'm quite ah beng type, where most of the FLs along LHL in Zhu Hai can satify me oredi. My criteria is fair skin, presentable face (5 essentials in rite shape & position), at least b-cup boobs, then dun gimme fark-up attitude can liao. I'd had great WLs in Zhong Shan, Shanghai, Zhe Jiang, Nanjing, etc etc. (I'd travelled through north & south China in 2 years, avg of 3 cities per week!)

Still remember a great one in Shanghai, the mamasan drove 2 city 2 pick us up ard midnite, then drove 2 the "battle ground", somewhere outskirt of Shanghai, in some holiday villa, like chalet like tat. The gals are damn pretty, good solid figure, v obedient / obliging & professional!!! Felt like King like tat!! It's expensive in many PRC standards, but, for 580 RMB, each person had each chalet unit 2 ourself (like a hotel suite!), until 5 or 6 am!!! Food, drinks / coffee / tea, fruits, all inclusive, of course facilities oso 1st class!

the sg govt know what they r getting and i personally do not know what they r doing about it, but the current situation is not good at all. they seem to have forgotten how to be a sillyporean. we built a metropolitan city in so short a time, which is unheard of anywhere in this solar system. would it hurt to give us citizens a little pride? make us proud to be sillyporeans. the govt is here because they r no other choice. but dont use that against our own citizens, bowing down to other countries, afraid that we might offend them. how would the citizens feel when other countries say something to us or threaten us with sand and granite bans, water bans, minister visit bans??? do they really want a pacifist nation, afraid to stand up? i m ashamed to be a sillyporean now, cos other govts r bashing our country now and the govt is still pacifying n the newspapers r still trying to be "professional" instead of being nationalistic. does nationalism come only in august in sg? n u expect to attract foreign talent based on infrastructure, tax cuts, cleanliness? they have lost the human emotion part altogether. out of point already.

graduates might have a higher chance of breeding graduates, that is something i have to concede. but my question is: graduate from where? i have seen US grads, having starting pay of USD70k/yr end up looking like idiots. i could get my 2 A levels pass manager from here in sg and bring her over there and take over the jobs of 10 of these guys. lessons from life r more impt, the degree only helps in the 1st step. i never had to bring out my degree to show anyone after my 1st job. i swear to god i would slap the bugger who ever dares to ask me to show my degree. but then again, i have never applied to the public sector.

great adventure in PRC, eh? no such luck in sg or anywhere else i've worked, except for witnessing a protest in korea but u-turned when we saw that the students staging the protest were carrying molotov cocktails.

glad that yr parents r supportive. i always bring back brochures for australian properties but my mum is always complaining that sure cannot find mahjong kakis on a regular basis.

as for the FLs in macau, it's just my personal gut feel cos the gals there really swee!!! and i like their modus operandi there as i always go with friends who know the place well. the price is very standardised and the "law" there always ensure that we have a good time with no trouble. that's customer retention at its best for me. dont mind paying a little extra as the girls will never try anything funny. and for yr info, i m an ah beng at heart too, even i m educated in the best institutions in sg. but beng, i m. my uni mates will certainly attest to that. i got to sample good quality in shanghai as well and quite a number of them did try to become my gf, but to no avail. girls in shanghai r smart and more often than not, we sillyporeans r still quite good catches due to our dear women's charter and the fact that not many of us would beat our wives, as compared to guys from the home country.;)

i dont want to talk anymore about the sg govt, else later end up bankrupt or worse, internal security act. but the last word is that i certainly dont feel proud about being a sillyporean right now.

as for interviews, thank god i m relieved of that responsibility as my boss felt that i would actually siphon off otherwise good candidates.

haha, no choice. bro 84gunner replied me and u can see he really made the effort to reply me mah. so deduct points then so be it lor. as long as i dont scold too many people, my points should be enough to last a while. as long as i get such sincere replies for my postings.

the molotov cocktails were a tad too much for my liking but i liked their passion about what's happening in the country. wish i could have that kind of passion, fighting for what they believe is good for their own nation. but comes world cup, the whole country behaved damn well and showed the world what a great country they r and man, look at korea's support for their national football team, relentless and so unconditional.

what impressed me most about macau was that the service providers were of impressive but somewhat infamous background. but they dont use this to make $ cos i can safely say they have every ability to do so. instead, they provide such good personal service that customers like me would be dreaming of returning. inevitably, i always compare teh service i m getting when i cheong to the 2 times i went to macau. was really sad i had to go. imagine a man whole body filled with dragon tattoos telling me that if i m not happy with the girl's performance, he will get another FOC for me. when i was done, i tipped the girl a bit more. then came the phone call from our dear friend, asking me how? good or not? if not good, he send another girl up. he also added that if i did tip the girl the amount, in case she stole from me? just for this gesture, i have recommended all my clients and friends to go look for him if they decide to stop by macau. that's ah beng, not having gone to uni, provides tiptop service. oh, btw, he's not OKT, he's more of a niteclub manager.;)

i got relieved of interview duties cos i reject too many candidates after 1st interview. my boss was left with not too many to interview and besides that, she had nothing much to do cos our teams all on auto mode liao. still remember once i interviewed this master degree guy who had a lot of other certifications and was from a reputable MNC for a whole of 15 minutes and told him that he wont expect to hear from me. all certs n no initiative cos his reason for leaving was that he was tired of having to wait for his chance to lead projects. i tot if u wanted responsibility, u had to open yr mouth and ask for it. let her know that i say this about her, i think she will interview me and make me buy her drinks. so not what u think, i dont eat and shit in the same place. :rolleyes:

oh n btw, if i dont remember wrongly, u r chelsea fan right? so, pls ask chelsea to win the league this season. that would be a big consolation for me... hahaha

Last time I check the price for Louis XIII was way back. When the SOGO was still around!
