It seems majority of OKTs use wechat or whatsapp, which isn’t good as the numbers are easily tracked

I remember the last time got one OKT with underaged kena caught one whole group of guys kena. One bad egg OKT or one bad girl in the stable all kena.

Is there a better way to communicate I wonder ?

Wechat is fine as long as you do not link your contact number to your wechat.

Er.... how not to link number to wechat ah.... all the chat apps uses mobile number to authenticate in order to setup leh... haiz. Please share how to do it.

You can delink the number and use email account to link up....Thats how I did for my wechat account....:D

There is an delink option.

The last time I did is to link up with my email account and subsequently delink the mobile number.

Yes, can de-link. Not difficult. Just perform the following steps starting from your Wechat interface...

1) click the “Me” icon that appears in the lower right hand corner
2) click “Settings”
3) on the settings menu, click “Privacy”
4) look for “Method for Friending Me”, should be second option on the list
5) uncheck the option “Find me by phone”
6) keep the option “Find me by WeChat ID”

Once done, only your WeChat ID appears on personal WeChat interface. Your phone number will not show up anywhere.
