Separate SIM card

Hi fellow cheongsters.

I know bros here usually use separate sim card for cheonging activities. Especially for married bros, dont want other half to see those advertisement SMS then start to suspect.

For this kind of separate sim card, do you all just go shop buy prepaid registered under your own name, or buy those pre-registered ghost sim?

If kena caught with using pre-registered sim, will get into what kind of trouble?

Think there was some enforcement action recently against retailers and other sellers of ghosted SIM. No news of whether police also went after those who bought but it is unlikely. How to trace?

Just for chionging, it is not illegal for customer, so just get a normal prepaid. The number expires anyway when you stop renewing it for some time. You cannot make calls or SMS, but the messaging apps tied to it can still be used.

Easier still, just password protect your phone lah. Or this arouse suspicion also? :rolleyes:

Yup just use normal prepaid, don't waste money on ghost sim as its cost 2x more

A bit difficult now, but you could get foreign visitor friend to get a prepaid sim card, then take over from them when they leave the country.
