AGC tried to put me in prison the long way around by giving me a fine for porn possession that is not only the heaviest in SG history without also having a concurrent jail term, but also out of the assumption that I'm poor/my family is poor, so if I cannot afford the fine I go to prison by default.

The DPP of my case was admitting to my lawyer in Dec 2021 that even after all the other 3 guys who were admins of the 3 SBF Telegram groups the four of us were in were already convicted and sentenced, he was getting orders from upstairs to go slow on my case and adjourn for a few more months because they wanted to see if they can add on extra charges of distribution to my possession charges. BTW none of this I am saying here is new info. Asia Sentinel wrote about all this in their article on what happened to me.

Possession can only ask for fine unless it's aggravated by stuff like underaged or illegal leaked/revenge porn. Distribution bottomline straight away is go prison.

And look who assumed wrongly. Am I still sore about the fine? Yes. I would have preferred to just go to jail out of principle and as a protest move, but my parents stopped me from doing so and said to think of it as paying ransom.

In lighter moments I tell myself that 42k is belated payment for all the free porn I've been watching and keeping saved since I discovered them when I was 15. Julius Caesar's elite establishment murderers tried to make him out to look like a tyrant and a threat to the Roman Republic so as to justify his murder. Because Caesar was too popular with the man on the street, the common citizenry, and he spoke too much of their sense against the lies and obfuscations of the elite Republican senate in the Roman Republic.

Yet as history would later show, not a single one of his known murderers died natural deaths. Caesar's death became the martyrdom upon which elevated his adopted son Octavian, who would take over the Roman Republic and reconstitute it into the Roman Empire with him as its first Emperor.

I'm only 31 this July. Hopefully my history will still have many more decades to play out and maybe I'll see some measure of rehabilitation and redress given to me by the SG state. You crucified me for an unintentionally harsh and embarrassing op-ed from a nobody in an international mainstream news outlet, and since then I've not stopped giving you actual, deliberately crafted, and far harsher critical articles on more embarrassing things for your international reputation published with another news site (Asia Sentinel) that can only be partially censored (Substack), run for more than a decade by an ex-WSJ and Far Eastern Economic Review journalist (John Berthelsen) who remembers well till today how the PAP and the Lee family banned their publication and sued them for defamation in the late 2000s simply because they gave Chee Soon Juan a voice on the international media stage, and pretty much un-POFMA-able (because the PAP geniuses wasted their one and only shot with POFMA on ANY MEDIA OUTLET they wanted to censor, oops "correct" on the one article Asia Sentinel wrote about my politically-motivated persecution (https://www.asiasentinel.com/p/singapore-kills-chicken-scare-monkeys), didn't expect Asia Sentinel to basically challenge them to sue for defamation in a US court (https://www.asiasentinel.com/p/asia-sentinel-blocked-singapore) where the news site is based, and now that they've used POFMA as the excuse to ISP-censor Asia Sentinel (https://www.asiasentinel.com/p/singapore-fake-news-law-critics-opponents) like most major porn sites or even Sammyboyforum are to anybody in SG who doesn't use a VPN to access the Internet they have to effectively pretend that none of what I've written and published exists, all of which I bet my bottom dollar they WISH they could fucking slap a POFMA against me for).
