Replacing & improving birth rates are indeed a critical issue if Spore does not want to become like Japan with a greying population, grappling with this issue of WHO will contribute to society - taxes, education, jobs, etc if only the aged are left?

And worse on a personal level - it might be fun to be a single & free while young or childless couple, but no mortal stays at 25 yrs old forever, as human cells begins to decay at birth, & usually by 60yrs old - muscles, blood, lung, cells are no longer what it is at 25yrs old, & with such issues, loses the ability to hold meaningful jobs, loss in income, etc. Then WHO will look after them if they are still single or childless? Old folks home dont come cheap - at least min $700 PER MONTH.

On the flip side - singles & childless couples remain where they are due to several factors - social, political & financial environments. It's not exactly a beautiful & perfect world to bring forth life, or the expenses required. Govts & societies had tried to help with incentives to offset such.

However each male or female will have to assess the bigger picture of life & its meaning on the angle of personal survival if not society's survival, in order to improve the birth rates. And worse on a personal level - it might be fun to be a single & free while young or childless couple, but no mortal stays at 25 yrs old forever, as human cells begins to decay at birth, & usually by 60yrs old - muscles, blood, lung, cells are no longer what it is at 25yrs old, & with such issues, loses the ability to hold meaningful jobs, loss in income, etc. Then WHO will look after them if they are still single or childless? Old folks home dont come cheap - at least min $700 PER MONTH.

On the flip side - singles & childless couples remain where they are due to several factors - social, political & financial environments. It's not exactly a beautiful & perfect world to bring forth life, or the expenses required. Govts & societies had tried to help with incentives to offset such.

I am not sure where or what is being said but i am thinking it is same thing. You dont want fat, ugly or maybe too stubborn women. So it is your choice and it is your critria.
