In order to restore the good, sanook vibe back to this favourite thread of ours, I would like to contribute my dua sen worth on the Saphan Kwai scene.

The only exception is the girls in RAINBOW (yes, there is one in SK and I am not sure if it is related to chain of RAINBOW in NANA PLAZA but I highly doubt it) and the difference is very obvious to anyone who bother to explore and pub-hop in the area.

the quality of girls in RAINBOW is more or less similar to those mid-tier Gclubs or coyotes in Thai discos or pubs in Danok and Hatyai but with such quality, don;t expect most of them to go short-time and long-time with customers, at least not on the first visit. They may be more open to such proposition if you regularly return to the place. and just like most girls working in the area, the language of communication is strictly Thai .. just like bro Soopafly said sometime back, "'pood Thai dai mai?'' if you can hardly speak any and also don't have the mood and inclination to wring some chemistry from the interaction, I personally don't recommend bros looking for a good time with tapau action on a short trip to check out the place for any reason other than for curious sight-seeing.

I have been there a few times the past years using the references gleaned from this forum and other websites, most of the time exploring on my own and it is my observation that most the girls in the area are not up to par with girls in TDs (Thai discos), never mind girls in Gclubs and ONYX etc.

IMHO, the girls in TDED, CHAT, RCA (name of the SK pubs) look no better than the girls in Nana Plaza with the only difference that they have the higher percentages of having fair skin to cater to local Thais.

The only exception is the girls in RAINBOW (yes, there is one in SK and I am not sure if it is related to chain of RAINBOW in NANA PLAZA but I highly doubt it) and the difference is very obvious to anyone who bother to explore and pub-hop in the area.

the quality of girls in RAINBOW is more or less similar to those mid-tier Gclubs or coyotes in Thai discos or pubs in Danok and Hatyai but with such quality, don;t expect most of them to go short-time and long-time with customers, at least not on the first visit. They may be more open to such proposition if you regularly return to the place. and just like most girls working in the area, the language of communication is strictly Thai .. just like bro Soopafly said sometime back, "'pood Thai dai mai?'' if you can hardly speak any and also don't have the mood and inclination to wring some chemistry from the interaction, I personally don't recommend bros looking for a good time with tapau action on a short trip to check out the place for any reason other than for curious sight-seeing.

And next to Safehouse is a new pub called Do Not Disturb which has one of the most interesting interior decors. There is metered taxi and non-metered taxi. It is best to have metered fare if you guys are just travelling around the city of bangkok and fixed fare if you are travelling out of the city with long trips like to Pattaya or to the airport for etc.

Most of the metered taxi if you go in and the person quote a price to you, get out straight away. The chances of you encountering drivers that are link to thai gangs are almost 70-80%

For the record on taxis... took a cab from national stadium to grand palace for 80 baht... was quoted 300 baht by some taxi driver beforehand... gladly showed my finger at him and slammed the door

Was quoted by a cab back from grand palace to ploenchit and was quoted 250 baht which i gave him the same treatment..
the next cab was more honest... offered to stop the meter at 100 baht cause he made a wrong turn, told him to just keep the meter going... eventually reached ploenchit for 119 baht on meter... he still offered to take 100 baht..
i told him to keep the 120 baht and its good to be honest and honest mistakes can be learned so i have no qualms paying...
Didnt realised the doorman ticking him off for going the wrong route.. guessed he called after making the wrong turn

Just to tell you what I do when I run across miscreant taxi drivers (And they're all over the world... sigh....!).

I wouldn't lose my temper with them, just like how I now wouldn't bother to lose it with crook stealth agents here; I figure it's beneath me!

I would instead just pleasantly and softly close his door, making sure it's only half or even totally not closed, and just walk away. Can be done when first bargaining or AFTER a lousy ride.

The looks on their face, the shouting and screaming, as I happily just walk away, pretending to not hear. Best are those taxis with cages around the driver - coz then he actually needs to get off and close the door on the other side. Priceless!!

My third time in BKK with my other good friend. It was a really impromptu trip so we had no planning done. Once we touched down we did a quick research and finally decided to go to this club called scratchdog.

Pls do your homework before going...

Typical Spendings:
Eg. For 1st tier gclub the villa... I pay only ~10k+ bahts for the whole night with membership and sharing of 2( usually go with a group of 2 to 4, smaller group is more fun) 30LDs with the membership is able to cover girls/mamasan for the night.
If there is bottles leftover without LDs from the membership... I usually pay 6k+ bahts( no new membership open)

For pimp 3rd tier or so call high class agogo... Should not be as expensive as The Villa...

Do your homework. If you thinking of DaBao to hotel, gclub is not for you. Pls look somewhere.

Walked in there to see that all the grills were too milfy for my tastes (I'm 22 this year), but price is cheap, at 1000thb to 1300thb for 90mins.

To date, this is the busiest massage parlour I've been to, perhaps due to the cheap price, therefore I am sharing this information with you guys.

How much did the session cost? It would be rather disappointing to travel all the way there to find the SYTs priced the same as elsewhere.
