There's less customers at Copa and the quality seems similar.

Not being racist here..... but these have been "invaded" by PRC budget tour groups. Unlike other normal PRC tourists who usually can be considerate..... these tour groups PRCs are loud mouths who talk to each other by shouting across the room corridors and lobby and behave like locusts at mealtimes sweeping everything from the buffet spread and packing the food into carry away containers. Staying at these hotels is an experience like staying in a refugee camp. :mad:

If you are looking for a no-frills hotel that is cheap and comfortable, try the atrium@ratchada 13. I always use this hotel. 5 mins walk from huay khwang mrt, 10 mins walk from Huay khwang market and all the MPs around the area, large room (seriously its a queen bed with full wardrobe, coffee table and couch) and quiet. Haven't experienced any PRC invasion there so far due to its limited size? (i think) All this for only approx SGD $38 inclusive of tax per night.

The cons is there is no key card system on the doors. The keycard is only used to open the first door to access the lift but your rooms are using traditional twist and turn keys so for the absent-minded, you may forget to lock your doors.

They also practice a 2pm check in so if your flight is early you have some waiting to do. Also, while you can leave your luggage with them in front of the counter, they do not store it inside a secured room. Anyone can walk pass and take it away. Although I have yet to encounter any such problems, but it might be an issue for those slightly paranoid.

Another thing i find slightly annoying is the 1000 baht deposit which can only be retrieved upon check out. Although not really a problem as you can use it to pay for cab, and grab a bite at the airport.

But remember this is really just a very comfortable place to stay so dont expect any fancy swimming pool or breakfast because there isnt. But i know most bros here go there chiong not go there swim and eat some lame ass international breakfast :D

It is located just 20 steps from Resort for those familiar with that place. Go agoda check out the pics. not too far off. I really like the place for its location and price.

I stayed in a PRC business hotel in JKT once. Every morning was like a battleground to fight for your toast, coffee etc... Every time i pass through the lobby it was covered in cigarette smoke and Chinese people shouting across the room to each other. Why don't PRC realise they can move and talk to each other face to face, instead of shouting across the room? Anyways, I decided to just skip hotel breakfast there and get my food outside.

The Moo Yang (grill pork) from the Issarn food stall along Ratchada Soi 13 is one of the best.

Unfortunately the wifi there is as good as non-existent. Keeps dropping. I'm not overly bothered by it tho as I always buy the unlimited wifi and can't be arsed about it. The sofa and coffee table would make a perfect work desk for you tho. Just get some cha yen downstairs and you can camp inside the room the entire time.

Hahaha wah i didnt know that was the secret to being certified as a genuine BKK cheongster. Actually I'm not laojiao la... starting cheonging only 3 years back. Just so happen that I started from this spot so quite familiar lol. Last time got gf here watch me like Kim Jong Un watch over North Korea like that.. I didnt even know what was siamdiu 4 years back hahahaha. After breakup all hell broke loose. Anyway some people just try damn hard to fit in one la. What's there to dua kang about? Cheong alot doesnt mean your lampa bigger also. There's still many things I want to do but haven't done due to a lack of company for safety and economic reasons. (visit Pimp, fish for chai at mixx or Insanity, AGG bars i also havent comb before)

As for Huay Khwang, I walked there almost every night when i was there 2 weeks back (I travelled solo so at night sometimes really nth to do just walk lor). Didnt notice the touched up pavement.. guess i wasnt observant enough hahaha. Theres a shop there that I like to eat also its called Noi Seafood... but prices abit more steep. expect to pay close to SG zi char price but the food is good and opens really late.. like 4am still have.

No, I like Chinese, especially attractive Chinese Women! Currently, I live in Belle Condo located near intersection of Rama 9 and Ratchada! Approximately, 40% of tenants in our condos are mainland Chinese so they always speak Chinese to me cause they think I'm Chinese!

Basement of swissotel? Not aware of it. But swissotel has nice jap restaurant "takumi" which serves nice jap cusines as well as "Loong Foong Lou" Chinese Dim sum restaurant which serves nice Chinese food/Dim sum. Breakfast at swissotel also good. ;)

Still left a couple of legit agogo bars at nana. Mainly rainbow 1,2,3,4 the better ones. The rest are mostly coyote bars. The ranking system is quite funny, but a running joke among my friends was the V-ranked girls represented value, cos they were decently cute and 2 of my friends who took from this category were quite satisfied.

As there were 6 of us, we were given a huge VIP room, with a huge snooker table and a jacuzzi which can comfortably sit 12 people. That was the highlight for me cos all of us were just soaking and enjoying our girls in the huge tub, like a scene out of those black triads movie. :D After about 10 minutes in the jacuzzi, then each of us break out into individual small rooms with our girls, for our respective happy time. I took an M girl who was quite a looker and very hardworking, but quite a piano massage. Otherwise it was pretty fun and worth the 3500bht for 1.5 hours.

I would say Alaina is very good for a large group of brothers/close kakis to go together, as the VIP room and huge jacuzzi tub was a really nice bonus. On top of the all-in price based on the category you choose, you just need to top up 300bht more for a drink of your choice and a lady-drink. Total damage = choice of girl + 300bht (3800bht in my case).

Highly recommended and looking forward to going back again in the future.
