The bold bit you mentioned is probably the only saving grace about SG "throwing open the doors" to PRC Tiongs. Nowadays even if they want to leave mainland China to travel, many also find it difficult either because no money or no passport. The 2+ years of Covid restrictions really fucked them over 9696, imagine last time when Sinkies finally could travel again without needing quarantining upon return or any other travel restriction nonsense how ICA basically crashed due to overwhelming demand for passport renewals. It is a different china now, they will want their citizens to leave and not remain in china. Passports loosening will be inevitable. Economy is screwed, unemployment rate up and up.

For me, I don't mind if more prcs comes in and the scene has a lot more of them.

Visa free won't make a difference for them.
They only apply for student pass, work pass when their visas are rejected or entry barred.
Which one they end up going for will depend on their friends' recommendations, since they would have made friends here on those passes and its availability.

Age, number of trips, duration of stay, school will affect whether the pass can be approved.

Because of the exposure of Han FeiZi, there are some other work pass we do not speak of, but which is out of my knowledge area anyway :D

Depends on flight availability which depends on flight demand. I don't think there is enough demand for Singapore to China flights. The Chinese tour groups tend to arrive in Singapore, move on to Malaysia and go back to China via Thailand.

Despite the likely increase in supply, thr price for FL will not likely to drop, but due to the higher supply, there should be more choices.
With the 30 days visa free, it's likely to be similar to the Vietbu. The only difference is the airfare the ATB need to spend are generally higher. The agents and middlemen who used to make alot from helping the ATB to get visa are losing the stream of income that's all

As customers have more choices to choose, may spend more time exploring the FLs market, n as a result, lesser business for the MLs working in spa. More PRCs will get questioned as they come in greater numbers due to visa-free arrangement. I believe ICA will screen them before they arrive through the use of the SG arrival card. Once submitted, ICA probably knows who to flag out upon arrival.

There's now a different tactic used to scam people to the other countries.
First, you get a job offered in a safe country, eg Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore.
After you arrive, there will be a team building exercise/event or company sponsored event to other countries.

Once you leave the first country and enter into the other country, you're done for.
Literally kidnap when you arrive at third country and bring you across to the target country to force into scamming.

The key thing is to first have an official employment permit that can be verified.
And do not pay for your own air ticket anywhere.

Actually many PRCs do get scammed into coming to Singapore. The China 中介 agent charges a processing fee of $30k - $50k rmb. Many said they borrowed money from friends and relatives to come work here.

Once in SG, they realised the job scope differs from what was agreed. The regular OT pay also doesn't materialise. This is especially common for PRCs working in electronics factory around Woodlands. There's now a different tactic used to scam people to the other countries.
First, you get a job offered in a safe country, eg Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore.
After you arrive, there will be a team building exercise/event or company sponsored event to other countries.

Once you leave the first country and enter into the other country, you're done for.
Literally kidnap when you arrive at third country and bring you across to the target country to force into scamming.

The key thing is to first have an official employment permit that can be verified.
And do not pay for your own air ticket anywhere.
