PrEP in Bangkok
 

Hi bros,

There a massive shortage of PrEP in Australia and NZ, so will probably have to buy in Bangkok when there for that extra level of protection.

Can anyone in Bangkok advise on the availability of PrEP and reliability? Don't want to buy shady crap that's just pressed talcum powder for something like this.

Go to PULSE Clinic. Book an appointment beforehand. You will go through the full battery of tests that they have and see the doctor about the results within 30-45min. If all check out negative, you can purchase Prep.

PULSE also increase pricing oredi.
Back in February they had screening package B999 which comes with a free bottle of PreP (30 tabs).
Yesterday the same screening package is now B1650 and you have to pay for the PreP tablets - B650 per bottle

I want to be sure the PreP is valid and good :)

Don’t mind paying a small premium to make sure it is real stuff

Then they must have increased after your visit.
My latest visit was on 27.09.24 and was charged the new pricing.
This was my 5th visit and my previous four visits had all been only 999 baht.

Back to topic, the prices discussed here are actually more expensive.

So if you’re travelling from Australia is best you plan ahead.
Op is correct in saying there is a shortage of Prep.
I am heading Bangkok soon so I took all my blood and test here for “free”
Online prep that have phone consultations were bulk billed so the only issue was mainly where to buy prep.

Prescription was the easiest part. Finding stock available is difficult and most hospitals have pep not prep mainly.

Saying that I googled and found a site for Australia to show me where you can purchase so I called one of the pharmacy and yes they had stock. Bought it for $32 aud


The thing is, there’s no point buying in Bangkok if you plan to have action on the very day, you need at least 2 hours . You need to be taking it 2 hours prior to sex.

Pulse website does have a last resort where you can buy online and ship to you via ems. You need to provide your prescription and lab results.
Is expensive but needed if you want prep to work at all.

Booking appointments etc is only okay if you plan to have sex 24 hours after you taken two of the pills otherwise there absolutely no point as the medication has not been developed in your body.

The main thing is actually the time wasting being in Bangkok for an appointment when you can be doing other things. Also the medication only works after 2hours so you need to wait . It’s not on the spot works like magic.

Shortage in Australia? You guys been sending them to Ukraine & Gaza?

Here in Malaysia we used to be able to get 3-6 months of prescription medications after every visit to the hospitals...... but this policy has changed in the past year.
Now we are only given 4 weeks of medication per visit and need to revisit to replenish the medications.

Apparently our government is using the stocks to send to Gaza and the Middle East.
PM Anwar is a staunch supporter of the Palestinian cause.
