I knew ML who use WhatsApp also will likely see your profile photo to decide whether to reply you.
Very practical and realistic. Young and handsome man give priority over older and not so good looking man
In terms of privacy, there are many ways. Eg. I can block ML to see my profile photo but still can WhatsApp etc
