Sounds like a nightmare for a virgin trip.never trust taxi driver or anyone wanting to recommend/offer to bring u to joint take girls.

They only have one motive which is $$ on your crown head they see from far.

Stay near formosa hotel area within there have got 4 joint.queen directly opposite formosa on the left,berry indah,at the back of queen or berlian,turn right exiting from foromsa hotel and walk straight 5mins to locate it.

There are also massage places,clean or with special avaiable around the area with plenty of cheap good coffee shop to eat and u can even walk to Nagoya hill shopping center.

These small area activity should allow u to spend a day or 2 moving around on your own within easy reach without involving any driver who attempt to rip u off for commission.just ignore any of them calling out to u as u walk or don't let them follow u into the joints.

Well maybe that SENIOR has loads and tonnes of S$ to splurge out

For those newbies do readup this thread as much as you can to avoid being KCed or conned by supirs

If there is a need to take taxi just make it a ONE-WAY trip to your destination

All supirs tend to tell you that they don't take commission from joints and that they know the Atas people in Batam

a lot of bRuRs don't do their homework before enter batam...I went to batam with two cheongters before.. they told me that they in batam more then 4 times.. I was staying Lovina and they stayed in Farmosa.. Me and cewek went to Farmosa lobby to meet go for lunch at Nagoya Hill...follow as our conversation.

the taxi supir are the worst scums in batam...thanks god, ah pek only travel in ali dividson.....those stay one or two nights, best to get girls from fishtanks, not even from pacific...be safe, happy go, happy back!!!!

Some driver are good but that's 3% in 100%.I have got a few regular taxi driver,ojeck in the past & each have thier own pattern after a while.no matter how well u treat them or paid them there will always be some drama later on which is $$$.they will tell u this and that and wanna borrow from u cause the cow is sick,the burung Kuku is itchy & blah blah blah.we have to pay thier food,drinks and cigarette when with us.

There is only 1 driver I remember him as a upright person who did not ask me for anything for 1 1/2 yrs of using him.agreement was no charge for taxi when I need to go anywhere if I use him to go book cewek from joint he just earn the commission from there & pick me up/drop off at harbourbay never once request anything which I gladly tip him everytime.

But he stop driving taxi later & switch to other job and recommend me his friend service to me and his friend was a sucker I cut him off & there was the last regular taxi I use.

They are just the perfect type of customer they taxi driver are seeking.blur,wallet open and run on auto mode which let the driver be the lead for them.

They are staying in the most convience place yet they dunno the surrounding.

I find the pest around Formosa area most annoying.sometime when I walking in the joint those pest will yell 'bang!Mao cewek?'cant they see I'm already walking into the joint?they they expect we will say yes,I want cewek and let them lead the way in for u while u choose your girl and they earn thier commission.

You are lucky that you never got into trouble. As for the driver, you should never trust him on that. If you want to find WL, there are plenty listed in this thread.

Bring the gals back to your hotel, not BANG THERE AND NO TRANSPORT TO GO AWAY LATER. Anything can happen anytime.

But then again, this is apple comparing to orange because PR at I hotel should be of a higher quality. i hotel = 4 star. Formosa hotel = 3 star

I felt sorry for you after reading your unpleasant experience. From my understanding, most if not all of the supirs will normally rip off their customers by over-charging them for the transport. In addition, they will also get a commision from:

1) Papi/mami when their customer booked cewek from fish tank booking joints, KTV and massage parlours. The result is mark up price of cewek.

2) Hotel operators when their customers check in into the hotel. The result is higher room rate.

3) Restaurant owner when their customer dine in the restaurant. The result is bill more costly.

Therefore it is a wise decision to walk-in into the joints ourselves for booking ceweks (save that 50k-100k), check-in hotel and go to restaurants ourselves. The purpose of getting a supir in batam is to get us from point A to B. After we reached our destination, pay up and alight from the cab. Avoid calling the supir to wait for you as he might charge you for waiting time for makan, massage, shopping, etc.

Get another cab again if you want to get back to your hotel. Not to worry as there are plenty of cabs available in nagoya/jodoh town. You don't call them they will also approach you to ask you.

It will be better off if we did our homework well like knowing the locations and name of the good joints, good food and hotels so as to make our trip more easier and avoid kena chop.

However in some situation, we need transport to get from one place to another but remember to negotiate for the taxi fare as they don't run by the meter and will quote you a lump sum price higher than the standard price.

Actually the price of taxi in batam is not cheap. Consider standard taxi fare from formosa to harbour bay at 40k = S$5.80 for a estimated distance of 2km journey.

In singapore starting taxi fare starts at S$3.00 for the 1st km. Every 400metres for 22 cents. So for a distance of 2km, the taxi fare should be about S$3.66 or maximum should not exceed S$5.00.

Batam benzine(petrol) is cheaper than lion city but taxi fare seems to be more expensive. We can understand that supir are earning a living but they also must not treat their customers like robert mah.

Last but not least, just my two rupiahs of advice:

Cheong wisely (knowing where got plenty of cewek to choose by reading the previous posts to avoid wasting time searching high and low for it in batam)

Cheong safely (avoid going backlane and isolated and far away place during the night)

Cheong healthily (raw is war, always put on your raincoat to avoid getting std)

Cheong economically (Go to booking joints that have cheap but good attitude ceweks)

I got the same experience as you. While i was walking into queen 8933 and dynasty, one supir keep telling me don't go in, inside no good cewek, keep asking me to go goldbird which is the best, show me some namecard of some other joints also but i told him no, thanks.

Prefer to hunt cewek slowly on my own, so that more time to observe carefully which is the best one in the joint.
