I'm into the Marine business, I remembered few years ago I was supposed to bring 2 or 3 home appliances to one of the Batam yard.

Bro Soh, this probably didn't explain if you will be tax! Ususally you can sneak thru but if noticed by some makansutra, most likely you will kanna...

To be honest, I'm also clueless about what happened. All I said is that there is no 100% accurate formula to identify "gems" in batam, which I think anyone who's been reading this forum will agree to. Maybe your friend is having PMS now....

Not too wise to bring in such items by foreigners... If local people, they have their ways to bring it in or nego the price lower. Bulky items are more prone to be seen.

Electronic items are worst of all.

Gems or no GEMs, Batam is a wild wild place for all to cheong. You see what you get at pick up joints. Gals come here either to work in factories, or work in pubs/KTV/massage...etc.

Gals dont really stay here for long either, they move about. So no necessary you get the same gals all the time here.

Massage joints? These gals are more consistant, primary becos they dont have other places to go liao. Some come here for a few months, and they leave, some stayed for years, after they had a client base of regulars.

I got a map from some other site and Bros do you have any recommendation for the New berry, Queue 8933, New Berlian, or do you have other suggestions? And also would like to know if it's OK that I go to the karaoke alone? tons of thanks.

I'd have a question for regulars. How does it work with girls of Alishan KTV?
Are they simply available for booking?
Or one first goes to the KTV room for singing and drinking, and AFTER most of them are easily convinced to move to the room?
Or only some of them?
I went there once, and the lady at the reception insisted with "girls only sitting". I was surprised, but I did not insist.

Bro blackpage,to bring back the alishan cwk its actually between u n the cwek.the ktv does not control tat decision.but u can ask mummy ur the cwek herself n decide the price.once i took an alishan cwek back to my room stayed at forrmosa hotel n paid roughly 1.2 million rupiah.she stayed wit me till 2pm the next day then she went off cos werkin tat nite.but these gals only start werk @6pm.so its up to u whether the price is justify ur not.btw the price was bout 1 year ago now not very sure of market price.

Alishan have 2 type of cewek.

PR = 200k/300k just accompany sing song + drink with you, from u enter until u left.
They will ask for tips. If want to book them back to hotel, price decide by the cewek, not KTV. but have to wait for her to finish work.

PL = straight booking, pick and bring back 1.1juta. Mummy will arrange a empty room and ask the ceweks in to "contest", stand a row for you to choose.

They have nice looking cewek but dont expect SYT.
Cewek there not really young type.

No such thing as the "best joint" in batam... if its ur 1st time just stay near formosa hotel area and survey the joints 1 by 1... if u mean go karaoke alone... just u and ur cewek there's np... but more shiok if got kaki for company... hope this helps...

Go cheong KTV, need kaki to be fun, go find massage and pick up gals, you can always go alone and no hassle in waiting for others "finishing" their work, when you want to go out for food, no arguements on who foot the bill.

There is no best places to cheong in Batam, only different class and standard. See your luck, chemisty on who you find and how things work out between the gal and you.

It is always a new experience each time you go.
