Really? My camera SD card is much bigger in size versus the one in my phone.
And SD cards are so cheap nowadays

My Nikon used sdcard. Same as my phone. And there are micro sd to sd adaptor. Cheap to us, maybe not to them.
I've seen before cewek using galaxy ace and swapping 2gb sdcards looking for photos...

You are right. There is a second hand market for tech in Batam Lucky Plaza & the cewek will probably erase the contents & sell it there. The big GB cards are still sold at a premium.

I may have missed this piece of information, but when exchanging currency, what sort of combination of denominations should I roughly be looking at for a 2D1N stay?

Don't want to exchange too many big/small notes then later troublesome to buy food/things.

You're likely to get your notes in 50,000s. And 20ks / 10ks for loose amount.

When you change your Sin money with money changer,you will most likely be given 50k or 100k notes. Denominations of 1k,2k,5k,10k,20k can be changed back to you if you buy things from stores. Taxi drivers will sometime tell you they have no change if you give them a 50k for a 30k cab fare,fyi.

Actually, most hotels have " breakfast delivered to room" service. Just gotta pay nia. When I used to stay at Batam Star Hotel ( which is just in front of Gold Bird), we used to order from the coffee shop in front of Gold Bird and have it delivered to our room..
