In the hotel business, (with some exceptions) the walk in price is always the highest price.

At KAHA Hotel Reservation (at Batam Centre ferry terminal on arrival), they have very good net rates for the Novotel and Melia Panorama but both are 4 stars and above S$50/- around RP345,000k Its worth it because that works out to just a little above S$60+
Their rates for the other hotels are not as competitive.

Both hotels will probably charge you close to S$80-85 if you walk in.

Everything is relative and, what is nice for me may not be nice for you depending on what your criteria is.

Again, is location important? And, other facilities like coffee shop, swimming pool, age of hotel., etc etc. What about things like bath tubs ? Is this compulsory for you?

went on Sat afternoon and end up in Pelangi hotel ...ha a bit cheapo!
Was targetting Goodway at first cos thinking to get massage from tai Ji in room and then settle urge and save the trouble going around to look for girls.
Price for Goodway at Batam Centre agency is Rp295k but walk-in is Rp 350k..... Pelangi is 150K so obvious choice since a bit budget conscious.

Have not been to batam for 3.5yrs and was a bit lost... thought I can find some KTV ard Pelangi hotel but end up dunoe where to go.....end up going thai massage at Sports ... not recommended, friend gana blue black and I gana 2 unknown swell at the black! Then go back to Pelangi to look for girl at their KTV. Wah kao left only 2 girls when we were there at 11pm so let my friend take the better one to sextisfy his first batam trip and I be vegeterian this trip....

Cab driver said most kTV joint close till after 19nov....true?
what are some of the KTV around pelangi area?
What places have KTV for ST booking and have room to do business? like Pelangi they have room for 50K an hour...

I was in Batam on Friday and Saturday night.

Pelangi Hotel is not a bad buget hotel but today, it is already pretty old. This was where one of the better KTV-booking joints was in the good old days - Bovo but that is now closed down so I was surprised that you still managed to find a KTV there. Went there to check about 5 months ago but it was closed then. (I am a budget hotel person for this kind of activity and I alternate between City View and Prima Asia which are 128k and 125k respectively. )

Out of 2 remaining girls, you still took one - you must be pretty "chin chai"?

I have previously posted a long list of booking joints in one of the threads here but you have to search for it. I cannot remember where now.

I have also posted it elsewhere and of course, I have a long updated list in my batam guide at the location of my "signature". There, I maintain an update map guide for which I charge people of course as there is a cost to maintaining the site.

The taxi driver you had must be pretty lazy or inexperienced or afraid of "Allah" punishing him as he would earn a good commission for each girl booked by you guys!

Even with many booking joints closed, there were some that were opened and others where you can get in via the back door to look at the booking chicks.

I myself did not bother to go to booking joint because I love freelance hunting at the disco. Thursdays and Fridays are the best nights at Pacific as well as Planet Discos. That leaves me more options for the earlier hours too. This last Friday was absolutely great for hunting freelancers!

Picked up a lovely cutie (my type) this last Friday and another yesterday.

Saturday is a tough night in Batam discos cos theres just too many guys and the girls have more choices! (will post a field report later when I have time)

You should have done some desk research here and also at bataminfo.com's forum before you went and you would have had a solid time there!

On sports massage, I have never been there even when there have been many good recommendations by others. Something just does not grab me when I am at their reception each time.

Anyway, glad you finally made it back to Batam.

Do you know of any other KTV-booking joints in Batam like Bovo? Sometimes it's fun to go there and have some happy moments for the day. Planet and Pacific are for the night time enjoyments.

I am not KTV type so I am not able to give you solid advice.

However, the facilities for KTV appear to be very decent at Titanic, Brittanic, Pelita Hotel, just to name a few. Also at Island View Hotel too. Alishan at Formosa hotel also opens in day time.
All above have their own booking ladies to tap upon just like Bovo used to be.

Not sure what time the KTV at Planet and Pacific Discos open. Call them to find out.They also have KTV rooms and hostesses.

Puri Garden has KTV rooms too but they have to call in the ladies as they have no ladies of their own.

Should be Island Garden Hotel - the one at Penuin.

The girls here are 500k overnight booking her and overall one of the best collection in Batam according to some of the guys who are regulars.

They also have a few "dancers" who are supposed to do the "naked" dancing in the KTV rooms. Not sure if they open before 7pm or not - call them to ask them.

Since I am writing this might as well mention that Temptation at Royal Hotel also has KTV and supposed to have nice girls too but when I went to check out recently, they had none to show at 11pm.

On short time hotels, most of the budget hotels have short time pricing e.g. Prima Asia, its 70k, for others like Hotel 81, Bahari Hotel its 50k etc etc. Just ask and they will tell you on the telephone.

By the way, you mentioned the KTV at Pelangi, can you please confirm that it was called Bovo as previously or has a new name.

Bovo was one of the top places more than a few years ago until it closed down.

Yes, sometimes, you see the women in the morning and you wonder what happened to the eyes of the people who took those ladies back!

For the freelancers in the disco, my habit these days is to take them to a good lighted spot to see properly before I confirm that I will take them back.

This on the pretext that I cannot hear what they are saying to me etc etc.

However, under the influence of alcohol, there are still occasions when the eyesight is not as good as we like it to be!

Its frightening when you awake and look at what is in bed with you and you just want to get that person out of your room in the quickest possible way!

this KTV is in Pelangi hotel itself on the 2nd floor, the whole floor since the hotel is not big.
ha..don't think the lady can be that bad and scare the hell out of you even she is not as pretty as you want her to be.... just that we tends to "hiam" when look is concern
