Every time I have cash to change, I make an extensive poll and I always get the same result about the best places.
Also last time, I asked the rate to not less than 10 money changers in Lucky Plaza, Nagoya Hill, those on Jl. Bonjol on the opposite side respect to Nagoya Hill, etc.
As before, the best rate was offered by changers on Jl. Bonjol, a couple of blocks at left coming from Formosa (not the first ones).
If I am not wrong, the best rate I've got was 10800, versus the standard 10400 offered by many (100USD notes). It's almost +4%! Quite a bit of money, if you change 500USD or more.
I recommend you ask around to several changers, unless you don't change a small amount.
