most of kelong seafood is halal, although they may not have halal certified.. i even see the gank of FPI (indo's white robe mafia) with its infamous spokeperson, visiting and dining in rezeki seafood..

No problem! Glad my shared experienced helped you too! Without your guide i wouldn't have gone to batam! On my next trip i would just be visiting the KTV's unless i can't find any there i'll go to those joints since this trip i only visited those fk joints. During Ramadan, drive around formosa at night most of the bar's are closed, its like a dead town sia

Some lessons i learnt that i choose the girl too hastily, next trip i'll be taking my own sweet time to browse already xD! Also will be staying at formosa, so less taxi money spent !

As for Not Straight business, we both did some research but don't really dare to try as what we found out that we are suppose to liotter around shopping centers or hotels that are Not Straight friendly in thier gym / near changing rooms etc.. But we didn't try though since my friend isn't that adventurous enough haha. And no info on those bars or places to pick up Not Straight peeps. Can;t find any.

Depends, roughly around 460

1 Night, 100 for girls ( Tips + taxi + cost + supper )

2 Nights = 200

the other 260 is for makan, taxi, condoms, hotel room card deposit.

The rooms is about additional 132 for 2 nights so 460 + 132 = 592

But my friend treat me the room stay! so thank you so much! My friend!

Total i spent around 460 without hotel cost. hotel i stayed in is Novotel.

For the benefit of non-Sillyporean,i do a small research on VOA (Visa-on-Arrival) to Batam,and there are 2 version of it.

Here is what i found out from a website that are meant for tourist,also a NON-INDO GOVERNMENT site :

Now,the below are from the Indonesia GOVERNMENT SITE :

Notice the price difference between the 2? The one from the Indonesia Government site price are the old price aka the price that aren't increase on VOA and the one from non-government sites says the price has went up.

So bros here who aren't Sillyporean and needs to apply for VOA to go Batam please take note that the price for VOA application has indeed increase. Trust the non-Gov site rather than the Gov one for your own safety. Always pay in exact amount in USD if you are heading to Batam on VOA.

Since we won't be going together,i shall link up with you after you check in to your desire hotel. Ok,thx for the name and the rough location given on the non-straight hang-out. I have done some research with the MP name given by you. And below are some of what i found,FR and contacts from other Forums on Maroon Massage in Nagoya :

There is one gay massage place behind Sari Jaya Hotel, Maroon massage house, about 5 mins walk from Nagoya Hill. Place is a bit run down with mattras on the floor, can pick therapist but don't expect too much. Price is about 120K rupiah not including tips. +62-778-458-481.

I heard from some travellers here about Maroon massage in Batam (Indonesia), last week when I went to Batam I visit this massage place behind Sari Jaya Hotel. I was shocked that Batam indeed has a plu massage, the masseur is all male and they serve both male and female. This is my review :

Overall the place is VERY DIRTY, the wall is not properly painted, there is no door at each room with only curtain and also the wall is so dirty that they use cloth to hide the separator of each rooms. There is also mosquito, as the place is located at a place quite not okay place, with low light, and many not friendly looking people roaming around and sitting around.

The masseur is quite handsome, I see him in the dark though, and I ask him whether I can 'poke' him he said he is top, looks like he is not properly trained, while the cashier does not asked me what type of masseur I want. The attitude of the masseur is also a problem, as if he is unwilling to serve male customer.

The oil is smelly, overall a bad place to visit. Next time I visit batam I will use call boy service to hotel instead of visiting Maroon.

Welcome back from HCBC,bro. And thumbs up for your good work there (beside just the cheonging part).

Ferry seats are aplenty as we are heading there on weekdays. Upon touching down Batam ,it will be mostly walking from point A to point B if you don't mind (that is if you take same ferry with me and/or unless it rain).

Am glad the guide helped you. Infos in guide was mainly consolidated from seniors of this thread & other forums.So the credits were not exactly mine to take. I am not a KTV/Pub person so you will need to read and seek further on this thread for answers. I saw the amount you spend,it is within what i would have expected a 1st timer to spend on. 1st time is to test water,hehehe...next trip you will be more clever liao...and most importantly,you will be more confident too.
