I know there is vaccine for female but unaware of such thing for male. Google n found out that yeah there is a vaccine for male as well but looks like there is two type of vaccine

Yes, there are many strains of HPV, and the vaccine only prevents against the most common ones. It's not 100% foolproof, but anything to reduce the risk is worth the trouble IMO.

I checked with the GP clinic near my place. Gardasil vaccination costs $375 (incl GST) and will be administered in three jabs over 6 months (second dose is 2 months after the first, third dose 4 months after). I think other clinics may be cheaper since my clinic is usually overpriced.

guys, just to let all of you know

1. gardasil will have no effect on a person if he/she has contact with HPV pathogens prior to the vaccination.

2. gardasil only protects against 4 strains of the virus and there are no sufficient data to date to prove that it is effective on men.

3. therefore, if you have been a regular chiongster for many years, chances are you would have gotten some strains out of the 40 types of virus. maybe you have been lucky enough not to contract type 16 and 18 (which causes oropharyngeal (throat) cancer) or type 6 and 11 (which causes genital warts). but nonetheless, gardasil is meant for the above 4 types of viruses. the decision is yours.
