Re: Foreigner Wife
erm....i am a degree holder yet i have not paid a single cents of income tax ever since i graduated 7 yrs ago. Also i am not employed now so am i to say if i ROM a foreigner, chances of her having social visit pass of 3 months is IMPOSSIBLE?
honestly speaking, i am just looking at 3 or 6 months pass for her...won't apply PR for her since i don't really trust her yet. I certainly wouldn't wanna marry her if she can't even secure a 3 months pass, if that's the case i am sure the marriage cannot be sustained. And with that, i think wanna get a divorce will be also too troublesome should i meet a new gal. :P |

Re: Foreigner Wife
need some advices...
was married 5 years ago with my wife (Vietnamese) in singapore. Was grant long term social visit pass during her 3month stay in singapore. We did not apply for PR During that period. She go back to vietnam after the 3month LTSVP to start her saloon business as she told me that she could not cope her life in singapore. i visit her every 3 month...(For 5days to 1week stay in vietnam). Currently her business had been bad in vietnam and we had to sell away our property in vietnam..she decide that she want to come back here for good. Question - -) Can i apply for her PR immediately? -) Can i apply PR for her over here while she is still in vietna,.She will only come next year. -) My income taxes declare for the past 4years had been very low ( About 18k to 21k per annual)as i want to 'siam" taxes ...would this affect the Process and application? -) What would happened if suddenly my income declaration shoot up so much if let say i were to declare 36k -42k..I am self employ. -) Would her educational level matter in the process of the application. -) How long do i need to wait again to apply the PR IF THE 1st application fail? Hope someone can give me some kind advices to the above... |

Re: Foreigner Wife
Answer as far as my knowledge but if it doesnt not work the same for your case, pls forgive me.
-) Can i apply for her PR immediately? ----> Yes, You can as long u have the ROM cert -) Can i apply PR for her over here while she is still in vietna,.She will only come next year. ----> This one I think no ba....at least she must be here to submit the form personally herself ( as in clause 8 of http://www.ica.gov.sg/data/resources...rmEP4_4-01.pdf) -) My income taxes declare for the past 4years had been very low ( About 18k to 21k per annual)as i want to 'siam" taxes ...would this affect the Process and application? ----> I think this is one of the factor that ICA is looking at.... -) What would happened if suddenly my income declaration shoot up so much if let say i were to declare 36k -42k..I am self employ. ----> This one I am not sure at all....but then I think IRAS is the department which are more interested in that.... -) Would her educational level matter in the process of the application. ----> There quite a few pple who have said that it will affect...but personally I think that there are more deciding important factors for ICA to consider -) How long do i need to wait again to apply the PR IF THE 1st application fail? ----> I forget about this one but as far as I can remember it is 6 months? Re: Foreigner Wife
I have to agree with you guys that our MPs are really good for nothing MPs
I had a problem with ICA a couple of months ago, and approached my MP in Sengkang and He's a lawyer too. I told him about our plight and he said that he can't do much and in fact based on what I had given, there was nothing any one can do since wife broke the law, he also added that my wife WILL be jailed for up to 8 weeks or more. I really don't think any MPs will help you, unless that 'some thing' benefits THEM. There's no free meal... unless you're one of the richest people in Singapore, and able to pull strings. Look at that Tang fella with that "kidney" saga... do you think he will be let off the hook ?? watch... he WILL get let off cos' they're already re-thinking on how to work out some thing for him... others Already convicted BUT NOT HIM ?? his trial delay ??? knn... if it was normal people like you and me, they will fast forward and slap us with jail and a super heavy fine |
