Actually, my baxa got ask me to stay her house when i'm be there. but i dun think i will her know when i go there. plan to give her a surprise, but i scare later she give a shock .(saw her with bf or husband ... etc.) so i need a hotel near there as a backup. actually, i not 100% to trust her. everything must see from my own eye.

The small hotels normally for Short-time usage.. 2 hours about VND80K . Daily I think about VND250K. going from district 1 is actually not that far.. maybe about 8km..

There are many salons there that provide HJ for VND100K tips..

You can also bring your girl to a place near there call Thanh Da.. some nice restaurants with reasonable price and it is by the river. It is quite romantic for me

Was recently at Pink Cadillac (Formerly known as Volcano). Completly re-did up the place. The VIP seating area is no more. THe DJ console is now there. The hip hop room has been removed and it is now a spilt level.

PRs around and mostly look average. Music is the same as any other disco.

Today I reached HCM airport at about 9am. I exit the arrival hall and turn left towards the taxi stand. There were 3 taxis there, but non of them were Vinasun nor MaiLinh. I remembered that the previous time, I took a "Happy" taxi that charged me 400,000 VND to go to Ben Thanh Market, and did not turn on the meter.

So I took the escalator, nearby the taxi stand, and went up 2 stories to the departure hall. There the airport staff directed me to the Stand No. 15(taxi stand for departure hall) where I took a Vinasun taxi. The cost is 80,000 VND(by meter) plus 5,000 VND(airport toll) to reach Ben Thanh Market.

I also noticed that Vinasun and MaiLinh taxi drivers always turn on the meter, which is protected by a hard plastic cover to prevent the drivers from tempering with the meter.

Also, I'm quite lucky that as of today, no Vinasun or MaiLinh taxi drivers have taken me on a merry-go-round of HCMC.

Anyway, if you're looking for good banh mi, got one stall in a coffee shop behind Nguyen Hue D1 tat sell one power banh mi. Just walk along Duxton Hotel toward the river and make a right turn after the High Court and keep walking until you pass by a construction site (think it something about the highest tower in HCMC), then you will see the coffee shop across the road. Solid stuff & for onli VND15000. Enjoy.

Has anyone heard from Vietnamlover lately? We were PM'ing back and forth about making additions and changes to The List, but the last I heard from him was almost a month ago. He hasn't posted here on the forum in over a month.

In HCM now. Went Gossip last night and was quite happening. Saw a lot of good lookers. My group was pretty big coz one whole lot of viet gals joined us there. My friend and I only suppose to have 2 tour guides, suddenly at night, became 6 tour guides!!

But Gossip not cheap last nite, gotta pay 120k cover charge per pax. then later we ordered 4 bottles of remy for 3 mil dong (buy 2 get 2 free). but final bill came was 4.3 mil dong. after adding cover, its about 5 mil dong.

one irritating thing was the girls kept taking 100k from us to pay the waiters. same waiter also paid at least 2 times.

summary: enjoyable night but major hole in pocket to my friend and I.

You got conned into paying cover charge. I have never been asked to pay cover. But I do see Gossip making Foreignors pay cover. DOnt ask me why.

Paying the waiters tips is to show off to everyone that you are rich and dare to spend, it is also trying to get better service from the staff.

You have to pay for mixers which are not cheap anyways.
